All direct damage spells (except Mind Blast and Harm) are affected by Eval. Buffs and Debuffs are also effected by the casters Eval (and the targets Resist)

I dont have eval on my Tamer because she doesnt use the offensive spells...

My tamer doesn't have eval either nor does by bard since he doesn't use the direct damage spells

You can live without Eval if Magery is a secondary skill in your template. For example, a tamer or crafter doesn't do much with magery other than travel and mark runes, so having Eval isn't vital. If you're primarily a mage, however, it should be as high as you can take it, Legendary if possible.

Along with Mind Blast, the Poison spell doesn't depend on Eval, nor do summons spells, so EV's and Blade Spirits will be at full power without Eval.

Eval does give you a good title, if you care for such things: Scholar.

Depends on your purpose for Magery.

On a crafter, probably not useful.

On a Tamer, could be useful.

On a Mage/anything to do with killing, mandatory.

Then if you have the room, try to fit it in. Unless you ONLY use Magery for recall/gate/heal.

If you plan on doing a little Corp Por or Vas Flam, it will be useful.
