Helpful BOD tool

While we're on the topic of BOD's...

There's a standalone software tool I use called UOBOD - http://www.uobod.de/

It can import lists of BOD's from UOAssist, and it keeps track of which BOD's you've got and which ones you need to acquire to complete larges, as well as lists all of the rewards. It's really good for sorting and organizing your BOD's, even if your in-game organization system is a mess (like mine... unfortunately I've just been throwing them all into one book and sorting them with UOBOD when I want to fill some. I need to get better with my in-game organization!)

The web site isn't fancy but I've been using the program for years and love it. You can also share your lists of BOD's with people, import other people's bod files to compare to yours (for purposes of trading/etc)... I've never used that feature but it sounds useful if you know others using UOBOD.

Re: Helpful BOD tool

Thanks Kitiara for this information. I downloaded the tool and it looks like it will be a huge help with me just starting to get back into BODs again.

The help file seems to missing from the download, could you please give some instructions on how you use UOAssist to transfer your list of BODs into this tool?

Re: Helpful BOD tool

i'm away from home right now but will send it when i get home (tonight or tomorrow morning). i might even have the help file itself. but i can at least explain the process. From memory - i think you use the vendor agent in UOA. empty your backpack and then empty the BOD book into your backpack (so the only thing in there is BOD's). then, use the UOA vendor agent to make a list of all of your bod's. copy that list to the clipboard, and then go into UOBOD and paste that list into their UOA import tool.

i'll double check when i get home, as i'm typing this from memory

Re: Helpful BOD tool

I don't have the help file either. thought I did.

To use the vendor agent in UOAssist, you need to specify a pack as your agent bag. Then, UOA can make a list of all the items in that pack and copy it to the clipboard.

The problem is that when you empty a BOD book, you can't empty the deeds into a pack. You can only empty them into your backpack. So in order to get a "clean" list of BOD's, you need to empty your backpack completely so that the only thing in it is your BOD's.

So set your backpack as your vendor agent bag (by targeting your backpack on your paperdoll).

Then empty your deeds into your backpack and remove the BOD book. Use UOA's vendor agent to make a list from your vendor pack and copy it to the keyboard. Then use the feature in the BOD program to paste your UOAssist data. This will let you import all of those deeds into the program.

It's a bit of work up front, but after you get them all in there it's really handy!
