Ultimate Doom Thief?

Ok, after playing the "good guy" on and off since '97 I want to see the dark side. What is, in everyones opinion, the best template for a doom thief? I assume that if I nail that template I will also be an effective "all around thief" outside of doom as well.

Ive never had a doom thief, I use an archer for pulling doom arties.
