Why is there a beer mug near my name?

I'm confused. What's all this about gifts and points? I just want to make posts, not play some sort of forum MMO for icons.

Yeah, thanks for the icon I guess, but this is the most insane system I've ever seen. It takes a bunch of user features and locks them away behind a points requirement, as if that's fun. Two thousand of these points just to use invisible mode? Are you kidding me?

It's like going to send an email and being told you need to collect five hundred Coolness Points to be able to use your Address Book.

Aye just ignore everything else if you just want to post, the extra features never stop you from anything... I like it myself! Adam works VERY hard to have all this extra stuff for us here at UO Forums and not many people have this stuff at other forums. I like it here... feels like home.

I am not into beer myself, but nonetheless it is the thought that counts. It is just a tiny little icon is what we call gifts and sometimes we here at UO:F just like to pass around to show our apperication in another way besides text.

This is the first forum community I have been in that is the way it is here. Adam does a damn good job at what he does and doesn't ask for money unless people want to donate to keep the site going good then he accepts it.

I do not see anything wrong with it, but as people ahead of me has spoken and said... go ahead and post and don't worry about everything else
