Has KR saved the day? Are you beating off returning Vets with a stick? Is it worth me coming back yet? Or is it just like before?

I think Raul thats a question for yourself and not everyone else mate. If you like RP then their isnt much else out there that compares with UO from what i have seen and heard. If you want a game that looks nice go with one of the many many other games out there.

I like what i have have seen with KR but there are a few annoying things in it for me. The proportion of objects to figures to buildings...horses look awful, oh and there doesnt seem to be a setting to have UO fill all your screen except for your taskbar at the bottom. It seems to be a full screen or nothing option.Plus things dont happen as fast as they do in 2d like when you bring your pointer over an objedct to view it details and stuff. But they may yet fix all these things.
So myself as it stands atm i will stick to 2d

I have noticed allot of vets returning in Fell and i've met a fair few around Trammel too. Remains to be seen if they will stay or not.

Theres still too many 'bugs' with KR yet for me to feel confident about using it in place of 2d.I am enjoying getting used to all the different features tho,and learning to use them.

There have been a lot of improvements since its first beta release,and its beginning to look much better now.

Decardo pointed some of them out,but from what I have checked out so far those things are due for an upcoming patch,which they are churning out pretty regularly so, lets hope the improvements continue to fix whats wrong.

As for coming back,well Raul,id download the free trial and go from there .

I agree with Tabbitha. KR is still too far gone to replace the 2D client for most people, so the real question is: Do you want to play UO again or not?

You'll still be able to use the 2D client for some time after KR is released and we're all praying that by the time they nix the 2D, KR will actually be just as nice to play.

I still dont see why they could not just add some of these new fancy things to 2d and keep it running alongside the uokr client. Most of us know and like 2d. I see little logic in erasing it.

but seriously, theres no reason why you cant come back and roleplay. A lot of the RoE in place keeps it similar to the good ol' days, now its just up to us to try and drag more people into the rp circuit, and boost the numbers.

They wanted a new client since its so damn hard to do anything in the old 2d client without screwing up 10 other things for every good thing you do.
We all known about this for years and years, and now they finaly released something that is new from scratch.

I agree that there is several things that need either be added or improved before its my favorite client but its getting there step by step (mostly since i lag in 2d since 6 months back for no reason whatsoever and cant get rid off it, but in KR i dont lag nearly as much).

The scale , the hues , the style of the client where you can have fullscreen and see icq etc WILL come soon becuse thats what they have said and I know they know that without those things people just will keep avoiding it.

I prefer to be positive then negative and have good hopes for things to work out right in the end.

I mean.. come on.. look how crappy the 2d client was for years and years... it took what.. 3 years before you could cut more then 1 bandage at a time .
