Bare in mind also this is being done at Britain bank and someone could easily loose a valuable item this way!
There is that beter for you? I also mentioned it and quoted it in my orriginal reply. Did you even read the posts? Reading slower and not skimming works wonders. Banks and inns n' such are and have always been offlimits mainly as places people tend to go afk and do major trades ooc things banking etc.
I see YOU have no problem with it and thats great.. for YOU.

Yes it IS a rule. I'm sorry you don't agree. If you have a problem then see about changeing the rule.

And noone is forceing them to. They can take their ball and go home or to fel either way i don't care.

Or they could try Getting theives less hoops and more freedom.

Theives have very little rules actually.
Steal form the bag
have 70 snooping 70 stealing

... doesn't look to hard to me....

The only problems theives do have is either lack of imagination on their part or Godmodeing players with eyes in the back of their heads.

It's simple don't play with the super powered baby's

Personally i'd like to see no yellow bag at all.

It's really simple don't steal at banks inns or private homes.
players don't carry things you don't want to lose in RP areas.
Theives get a brain if you steal something you should not have give it back and quickly.

Re: Stealing

If you have an arty on you and it isn't insured you deserve to lose it to a thief. This whole yellow bag protocol is rediculous IMO. Thieves have been nerfed enough and when people make/play a thief character it is to be a thorn in other players sides. If you can't take the necessary steps to prevent something from disappearing from your pack then it isn't the thieves fault. He is only taking advantage of your laxness. Thieves understand there is a possibility (more likely will be) that they will be killed when they are caught staealing. Enough of this boohooing about thieves and them stealing from your pack. Get over it and get on with enjoying the game. I use the rule if someone walks near me I move away from them. If you can't do this then it is on you.

It was written in invisible ink then, obviously.

Well they aren't going home though are they? and they don't really seem to care either. So it's happening and most likely because the rules are so convoluted. It'll probably continue to happen as well, and I don't think all the thieves mean to do it in any malicious way, they are just trying to roleplay a thief.

Some rules consistantly get broken because they don't work or seem pointless or are overly complicated. A GOOD EXAMPLE would be the yellow bag rule itself. Lots of people don't bother carrying one (which hey, has a big impact on thieves oddly enough, and is probably a big contributor to the above problem), and no matter how much people go "HEY GUYZ, CARRY A BAG PLZ" they still don't do it (and it's hardly suprising either, but that's another point entirely) and they won't do it. Even though it comes up every other month, a large number of people don't follow the rule.

As the yellow bag rule (which like half the community doesn't follow) has a big impact on thieving, the thieving rules could go a similar way (btw I mean people just stealing mundane items out of packs and stuff, not camping people at the bank for omgarties), or you could end up with no thieves at all. Well thieves that actually steal that is.

So something is broken. What are you* gonna do about it?

You can try the shouting at people generally on the forum going "FOLLOW THE RULEZ YE DAMN SWINEZ" but that isn't really working as we have witnessed many times before.
You can go after any thief that doesn't follow procedure and have them BANNED or kicked from their guild or whatever, but I'm betting that'll just result in no thieves at all.
You could go after the non-bag carrying bunch as well, but they'll probably just ignore/laugh at you, as you can't realistically defeat the hordes of anti-baggers. I mean what'll it be, auto-ban anyone not carrying a yellow bag or something?
You could try looking at the root of the problem and fixing it (like, letting a thief steal any mundane item in a persons pack or something), but considering how long it takes for people to agree on anything that involves changing a rule, it's not looking likely.

Or you can do nothing! In which case think of threads like this as a way to occupy your time. I do. =P

* You is being used in the collective sense here.

We do not play on Fellucia and like to think we can all play together following a RoE our GM's have agreed on. This is the fundamental part of a RP community is it not? Myself i carry no arti's or other AoS stuff, but i do carry weapons and armour that are valuable to me, i also obey the RoE and carry a yellow bag. So why did i loose something out of my main pack?

Re: Stealing

Probably because everything in the yellow bag has no IC value, it being an OOC rule and concept, and therefore, it was pointless to steal it? or maybe the thief couldn't be arsed to fish through the yellow bag and took something that had some IC value to you? =P

Everything in my yellow bag is IC.
......Maybe the theif could not be arsed? ..... Maybe he could be Arsed to pick a different proffesion as he hasn't the skill or patence needed to be a good thief?

And John what the heck has this got to do with Mods? *slap slap*
