But why? Why not keep the important things in the bank box? I doubt workers went around with all their hard earned gold/valuables on person, all alone, or on a battle field.

Many players wear tokuno dyed armour, you think they are going to not insure their 100k a peice armour? Or what about undead guilds like UD, bone armour is a bloody pain to make. Most of the time its the gm who has to supply the armour and weapons also, could become very, very costly if members are running around looting each others stuff. And then there is the problem of guild pk's who totally dry loot unless your stuff is insured.

I probably wouldnt allow the looting of armour and weapons to be honest, simply on the basis it becomes a nightmare to requip your guild all the time. I'd also be concious of the fact some folk could insure their gear with the gold they acquired on their alts, whereas the more full time roleplayers would loose out. But i'd certainly be in favour of looting anything stackable.

Banning the use of insurance on stealable items such as armours could be a possibility to prevent this. Also the matter of gearing out your guild, traders, and smiths would get more to do which isn't a bad thing, is it?

As far as I'm concerned it is in BoC and Grd? I know it is in BoC anyway. I'm pretty sure some kind of community trading organisation could be created that the guilds bought their gears from.

Anything stackable could be an idea, but then you got mages getting dry looted of regs when they cant loot weapons from warriors. 200 bandies, oooooh nice *coughs*.
