Lightbulb RoE ideas

What do you all think if the RoE stated that full loot is authorized and that insurance should be avoided?

I personally would love this idea.

Please, share your thoughts.

Re: RoE ideas

There really shouldn't be full loot, people will be lamers and loot everything just to be ebil ... Maybe make more things lootable, but also guilds like A^K or Boc need some of there stuff, ie: there dyed armor. Its not cheap to relplace..

Re: RoE ideas

Sadly as much as some of us would love this to happen, it never will. I tried to push this motion through during my time as a CoRE GM, trust me there are ALOT of current GM's who would simply refuse this.

And the Toad guy has a point here too, do you really think the current RP playerbase on Europa could handle the responsibility of being able to fully loot each other, christ most of them cannot even handle a dirt nap without crying like babies.

You could only do this between two guilds who trust each other completely, in my day i guess i couldve done this with my old guild Crimson Claw and with the guys from -V- and Kaldor.

Re: RoE ideas

In my opinion this would be extremely meaningless. If this went through and we could loot eachother, it would probably end up like fel. No one walks around alone, you're always ready to throw that smokebomb, run like a crazy man or scream for help on guilchat lol.

Plus making a new armour takes about 15 mins for decent resist, so obviously this punishment wouldn't be much punishment. Just a really annoying factor that some people would abuse, like some people abuse any new rule or skill that enters the game/community.

We use shadow iron though and dye our armour (although those that can afford it does).

Apart from that, Jake got a point; people would do it to be [pwitty birds] towards people/guilds they dislike.

I don't see this as a bad thing. It makes people more knit together and hell, body guards would get a bigger purpose, just like the death stat lose that Orlando talked about.

Not sure it would work in theory though. BUT, you can keep talking about what might work and what might not, but you wont ever know or get anywhere unless you actually try.

So I'd say give it a try.

Re: RoE ideas

Also remember that there is the "yellow bag rule" wherein you can put the things that you deem is ok to be looted and/or stolen.
I believe that went through the last time the ROE was discussed by the GMs.

Re: RoE ideas

Orlando and those in favour of a "full loot" rule - how would it enhance role play being able to loot from a corpse or steal anythign from a backpack?

I'll inform my guys to clean loot all in BoC and Grd and I hope that it will enhance your rp experience to the max, also that it helps ya guys to bond together a bit more.

Re: RoE ideas

During the last RoE discussions, I voted for a more liberal view on this: A rule similar to what Grd had where you could loot certain items from your opponents corpse. But I don't think free looting will enhance role-play, as a few people indicated above. I saw the yellow bag-solution as a compromise between the various guilds way of looking at things.

It's obvious that the Baronship of Cove has a different way of looking at things than the Duchy of Trinsic and Kaldor, and it's clear to me that this is a good thing. So, as Raul said, not all GMs would agree with such a rulechange: But it might just be that they just don't agree as well.

If you could quote where either of us agreed on a clean loot, I'd appreciate it. But sure, you do that; I don't think we would mind peacing another guild.
