Best to stick with either a man or a beast, one or the other. Switching into different forms listed above to pvp unless permanently playing that animal form will be breaking RoE. If you wanted tp RP a warewolf i'd suggest talking to your gm about that. Though RP wolfs are few and far between they can be fun to have fighting alongside you.

I will say tho, it can be fun to play a shapeshifter, as I actually do, but that is an extremely long ingame story as to the whys and hows and the criteria for how a shift comes about.... and I will say, that please do keep in mind that the rules specify not using the form _while in combat_ one can use the other forms outside of combat.

In my head, the transofmation from animal to man and vice versa would be a painful or at least time consuming one (a lá American Werewolf in London) so changing form in battle would be silly. Just my view.

You could always go with a wolf who can shape change into a man. There would be some good rp in that, as things like clothes and weapons would seem alien to you at first, and speach would be very difficult.
