Roleplaying injuries and the death robe rule, works fine, as far as I am aware of, but nothing really prevents someone to return to a fight. My idea, when suggesting this, was to have a game mechanism that disencouraged (is this a word?) anyone to return to a fight if they were knocked out. This should only happen if you got killed by a member of an opposing guild and not in PvM. Also, do you think that if the game had this kind of implementation, the rule of death robe would be obsolete? Keep those comments rolling... ![]() |

![]() | Re: Penalty for dying Looting players is the only way really, its the only possible concequence for dying that makes sense really. I also think insurance should still be allowed, i mean if you really want to hold onto your gear then you pay a cost and the player who bested you at least gets a reward. Think of it really, i mean if people had the threat of loosing all their gear. Do you think you would get one man armies challenging armies? Do you think people would be as quick to combat? |

![]() | Re: Penalty for dying Klion, yeah he probably does still hold that against you. That's just Raul. The rewards for winning a fight should be bigger, but looting armour, no. I can go to fell if i feel like griefing and use my PK for that kind of thing. It's possible for everyone here to go through the hassle of buying a small bag, dying it yellow and putting in some small semi rares or a decent amount of gold. Problem solved. But yes I understand the point - there is no consequence to pvp - adding in looting rights will only deter casual players and generally piss everyone off and hasten the death of UO. It isnt a solution. if we had a situation where it was 20 real life close mates playing in a 10 on 10 battle then perhaps. But this "community" is made up of people with far too little consensus as it is. Look at the history ooc of rp on Europa. Adding in looting rules will really mean that GMs will have more reason to press the peace button. Whilst I concede that there is some logic/realism to looting rules it wont enhance anything and will just cause grief. Until everyone in a warred guild is sensible and knows the rules and role plays to a high standard this is just a step way too far. | |
