Lightbulb Penalty for dying

Don't know if anyone ever asked this, but being somewhat new here I'll bet you'll forgive me

What do you think about temporary stat loss when you get killed by a waring guild?
I think this is something that happens in factions, but I'm not sure

Re: Penalty for dying

The best concequence of dying was threat of loosing your armour and stuff, sadly all taken away from the RP community with the death of Fellucia.

Nonsense, it was taken away by ERPA and CoRE. CoY allowed item looting. If your in Felcca or Trammel is irrelevant when your RoE firmly states you can't loot items.

Interesting idea Orlando. Would indeed make you think twice before attacking someone while role playing.

@Mighty Raul & Klion
hmmm...
interesting concepts... I'll make another poll

@John Dell
Exactly. That would bring the concept of injured to another level, I think.

Hmm Klion and rules, nows theres a interesting topic From what i here on the grapevine your renowned for basically making yours up too suit your own personal situations nowadays. But thats another topic altogether.

I wasnt referring to death to fellow RPers Klion, i was referring to being PKed in the old lands. That indeed was lost to us, when we all moved from the old lands.

Re: Penalty for dying

Its a good idea I agree, for PVM it would hurt because you would have to think twice before healing up and going for your corpse. A bit more danger is good!

For RP Purposes, what would be the point? When killed we have to robe up and not be allowed to fight anyway, So a stat loss would make no difference.

You can probably be assured this will not happen because it affects the whole game not just a small roleplay community, So many people would whine about it, It would just seem pointless

Re: Penalty for dying

I would prefer to see players *roleplaying* injuries such as not carrying a shield on their arm if their left arm is wounded , or not wearing a helm if they had a head wound ... etc etc

That way the player hampers themselves and acts injured without a need for stat loss.

And for your information most of the role players who continue to play in felucca, blue or red or orange, dont item loot or count an enemy if they get defeated.

Its an unspoken rule in felucca that role players dont count each other, dont dry loot, res your opponent and check they are ok ooc if possible.

So - hamper youself through your own role play! Givwe yourself your own stat loss so to speak

Re: Penalty for dying

That's all nice on the fairy world of RP callumf, but most role players are not really interested in role playing an injury and rather go about playing like nothing happened.

Re: Penalty for dying

Indeed there is NO concequence to dying (dirtnap) in RP pvp if you dont want there to be. This is my opinion is wrong, there should be a enforced community wide rule, sorry but wearing a death robe for 30 minutes isnt enough anymore.

Couldnt agree more - but then again for the constant pvpers it would ruin the game for them =/
