For the last few weeks i have been tempted to reactivate my account and bring Raul out of his hide away and again terrorise Britannia. But truthfully a few things have stopped me doing this, these are as follows:

Is there anyone around outside the old hangout of Trinsic Gates? I mean those that remember me, will know i dislike scripted RP and immensely dislike plying my trade in towns.

Can the fluffy ones handle the way i do things? I do get the feeling that apart from the old school guys like Twoey and Paladis, that most of the guilds tend to favour the tea parties and would be upset if i did things like i used too.

Also last of all do you want Raul back?

Please answer truthfully and do not just feed me the same old RP spin.

Play the game for yourself, not because others want you to. I hate scripted role play as well. I dont mind an outline, with an open ending.

Yes im aware of the old CoY guys, but would prefer interaction with the Old CoRE guilds really. At least till i can be bothered to pick through the thousands of rules you have over there

Just out of interest John, do ex-CoY guilds still shun powerscrolled characters? Also now that CoY is disbanded do you guys still keep your core rules like no powergaming and the love of pure warriors and the like?

Powerscrolled chars is not as frowned upon as it used too. And UD is currently discussing it's future on all those points (I'm trying to hold back to the old rules). And Grd they allow powerscrolls to be bought with their RP currency called copper which they earn from doing things like events patrols and posting stories and winning contests etc.

As far as I know powergaming is not allowed in Grd, still discussing it in UD as I said. Pure warriors is something that will stick around I think.

But the resist max rules that grd and ud has are being discussed (by ud not by grd). But like I said, I like the old so I'm trying to convince people that it should remain so.

Forget/Ignore the whiners and play Raul as was always intended.

Its not just me but the whole of A^K enjoyed the interaction with Raul (including Cal).Raul and Clw were one of the few guilds that spontaneously livened up what often ended up being yet another boring night in UO.

Just my two cents worth.

I would say , go ahead and try it again.
Bandit guilds and pirate guilds have a hard time staying around all year long (i dont know why but its always been like that) but when they are around they are very much liked.

And pester Vesper , Cove , Jhelom and Yew and you will have things to do forever.
There really is like.. 3% difference between the rulesets so that shouldnt be a problem.
