Re: Central Meeting Point
Any meet/moot/whatever should be on neutral ground. Theres plenty of places outside the so called 'loop' of RP guilds that could be used.
As Tabbs said (in a long winded way (hell if Callumf's gonna be nice i best be the one to groan *winks*)) people outside the meeting itself need something to do aswell as its a good idea to have some kind of influencial people outside to mix things up abit. ![]() Born to be Grumpy so get used to it

There are plenty of KH/KT buildings around for this ,and I agree unless an urgent reason crops up,,meetings every 2 mths is a good idea. Quote:
YES any meeting labelled 'council' etc,has a ring of formality about it ,and players will know beforehand, that they will more than likely be excluded from it. HOWEVER.as opposed to 'council leaders' meetings A TOWN meeting should/could include every one from THAT town. A Market Traders meeting should/could include traders from THAT town. If your 'town' is by a river ,you can have Fishers meetings / dockworkers meetings. Why do meetings only ever have to be held by 'leaders' ? If your a guard ,think back to the strikes the Unions called in Britain years ago,[ type 'Union strikes in Britain' to Google ] . Organise a strike till x condition gets improved.? Low pay Bad working conditions Environmental health issues. Long hours have existed throughout the ages. Theres nothing to stop guards moaning outside a meeting about the conditions ![]() Just because IC you cant be in the 'main meeting ',doesnt stop anyone organising some thing on the spot. Or have duels while your waiting ? Winner buys the ales, some thing like that . Just please stop saying the word 'exclusion' and think 'INCLUSION' ![]() I guarantee I could arrange to meet up with any number of you on any given night, even the quitest ,and within half an hour,we would be in a roleplay situation, which involveds other players and would NOT be pvp ![]() ![]() Last edited by Tabbitha; 4th May 2007 at 06:16 AM. |

Re: Central Meeting Point
I still would like to see one Knightly body...ideally what we saw with the idea of the Knights of the Codex (KoTC) being the cental body and having small priories around the land with each having its own twist on things. But that would require all the current 'Knightly' bodies to give up being what they are atm and forming one body.
I looked into in the past of forming a Knightly Alliance between KoV, KT and the Knights of the Dutchy. KoV and KT formed an alliance but the Dutchy Paladins at the time were unwilling to split away from the Dutchy and join the Alliance. I like the idea of the Conclave in that it has representatives from all sides of the land who share the common wisdom of freedom and a will to follow a Chivalric Code of some degree. The teachings of the various assembled guilds brings a lot of variation to the Council Chambers. From the regimentalness of KH and KT who bring the teachings of the Virtues with their Monastic ways, to the Knights of the mysterious Shadow Order who seem more concerned with unnatural goings on and the appararition of Dark powers. Then we have members from the Brittanians and the Dutchy who support the Crown. Its a place where anybody can come and raise a concern with the Council and request some kind of action to be taken. That person can be anyone from a common serf to a land Baron etc. It would be nice if there were more members so a mobilised force could be put into the field to affect say the outcome of a battle by sideing with one faction who they believe is fighting for a just cause. Anyway its a good platform to continue slowly building things from which will grow if it has the support of all those concerned. |

Re: Central Meeting Point
If anyone has played Siege, they should know of a guild called NEW, when you join siege they are a huge help! They will introduce you to people. Find a guild for you, supply you with items they will do most things for you. This would be a great help for the roleplay community!
