Hello everyone!

Thrilled by the success of the Olympic Games hosted by the city of Vesper and by the desire of bringing together the role-players of Europa to a regular and fun event, we are actually thinking about creating a Bagball League.

This project is still at its very early stages but the general idea would be to play games regularly according to a schedule and to keep track of the results in a league table. We could offer rewards to the best team at the end of the season, or even offer rewards every week to the best team, the best player, etc… that would be selected by the spectators themselves. Maybe we could also organize a cup where the rules would be a little different, pvp allowed as an example.

We have already built a stadium in our village in Skara Brae; here is a link to a screenshot (I'm not done with the decoration yet ^^). That stadium is, of course, available to anyone who would like to organize an event, sport related or not, the field can be customized to basically anything we want.

But anyway, I’m mostly writing this little text “to sound things out” (just learnt that expression hehe) and see how many of you would be interested in such a league and thus, how many teams we could bring together. We are also, of course, really eager to listen to any idea or suggestion to help us building this project!

This sounds like a grand idea, I wish you the best of luck with it! The Britannia Guards can provide a team, and I'm hoping other "competing" guilds, such as Cove and Vesper will as well. Then we'll obviously have the pleasure of beating them.

If someone has the time and energy, we'd be very grateful for the contribution of an article on bagball on the MoongatesWiki. Bagball - MoongatesWiki is a good start.

Thanks for the link Winfred ! That will help... as I had no idea what the Bagball rules were!
I was wondering if we could use the MoongatesWiki as a host for the Bagball League webpage? I don't know if it will goes with the purpose of the site but I was just thinking it would not really make sense to create a new website just for the Bagball League when we have a website such as the MoongatesWiki.

And thank you for your offer Van Cocidius ! I guess what is the most needed right now is to spread the word about this project.

That would be awesome actually, I will try this afternoon to make a page for the league but I haven't done anything like that for quite a long time, but that shouldn't be too difficult. Anyway, I'll send you the page on ICQ later in the day and we'll see if you can use it on the Wiki.

Great!!

First we'll start with some friendly games next week, just you know... to see how everything will work before we start the real season. I will post a message on the town crier with more details this weekend.
I also wanted to add that a guild can have more than one team. I don't see why a guild should be restrained to only one team if there is enough players for more teams in that guild!

So I can add Trinsic and the Brigands to the list! Excellent!
