Re: To all Roleplayers help please.

Haha. It's always nice to see someone enjoy themselves in their first time! (It's usually the first time of role play that's fun)

I'm sure Vesper would allow you an alt that isn't a military personnel but a citizen or bandit or something like that in order for you to stay in the guild.

Re: To all Roleplayers help please.

Oyst, you can't expect to be a high rank for a while if you're new in the community. Gaining higher ranks really just comes down to organising stuff. If you're seen to be doing stuff successfully and being around yuo'll make it up the IG rank systems sure enough.

Thats the best way to do it anyway as it means you'll learn how the community works and will gain a better insight into what ideas might work to progress the community.

I was a typical new recruit in the community who instantly wanted to lead and I formed my own knights guild some 5-6 years back. It worked nicely for 6 months but then I couldn't keep it going due to absence. Looking back I should have just joined another knight guild and worked my way up. You gain more respect that way, gain a better IC story for your character which grows inside a well respected and long running guild (hopefully) and it supports those guilds that already exist.

Thats my advice anyway

Oyst: There are several such guilds. One of them are the Serfs [Srf].

Re: To all Roleplayers help please.

Even if i was to get into SCT a problem would still exist, say i if i was to wander into Vesper and i caused some trouble accidently or maybe on purpose  I would get the guild into trouble, thats what i dont want.

Thats half the fun! Callum gets [or used to] into trouble all the time, Muldran's constantly half in trouble or jail, various Shadowcourtiers have done good and or bad things and we react to them ic and sort them out. We only take mature minded individuals who will fit into the guild ethos ic and ooc.

There is no such thing as a floating badge above a characters head. So unless you tell them what guild you are from you cant get your guild into trouble! UNless you tell them or wear a uniform or whatever!

Be a Srf ! Serfs are from across all Sosaria not just Trinsic and they rock!

Re: To all Roleplayers help please.

In response to Kaelith: I don't want to be high rank right away, it's just if i stayed low rank forever they may think im not even trying to be comitted to the guild therefore useless and i would'nt want that kind of reputation for myself. Thank you very much for the advice though!

Good point there Callum, i forget that they dont know what guild im from if i aint wearing a uniform. I forget myself, still soooo much to learn :cheesy:

Thanks everyone sorry to be a pain in the  again!

Re: To all Roleplayers help please.

Oyst,I am at a loss to know what has made you feel how you do because you cant attend training as often as it is held in V.

V is a very laid back guild attendance wise, and I think when Hanse or Twothumb read here, they will say the same.

Also, you dont have to be in the Militia,to be in Vesper.

It is a town guild, and you can have almost any kind of character you wish to that would be part of a town,so the scope is endless.

There is VTC also, which is a guild of very fun folk, who arent averse to crossing the line ,behaviour wise.

I have never known either V or VTC 'stay in Vesper' ,and if you check recent reports etc posted ,you will see they are very active in 'visiting' Yew and Trinsic.

Trinsic is talso a town guild, and has Dot for the guards,Trinsic Paladins for the virtuous ,and Serfs for the 'townie types.'

Again, you could be anything you wanted to be and Trinsic also 'leases' its buildings, [providing opportunities,to RP any crafts/trade you may want to.

You have already experienced A^K,who arent 'tied' to a town, and also 'roam around '

As previously mentioned,there are also

Kov,KH and KT,all knightly Orders who have their 'own' communities, away from any towns.

You have a host of guilds to choose from, and my advice would be.

Create your characters and put them into different guilds[ not necessarily all at once ]

Try the guilds you most think will suit you and take it from there .

Almost all guilds have a 'recruit' system, where you can see if its the guild for you.

This is usually a week at the very least and longer in some cases.

That should be ample time for you to get a 'feel' of what the guild is about .

So good luck, and please let us know more of your experiences as the weeks go by.

I always enjoy reading/ hearing new players experiences,of UO ,as it is now.

Especially at this time of huge changes

Re: To all Roleplayers help please.

What Tabbys says is true.
If your active once a week.. or a 100 times a week, it is still there for you to enjoy.

Join as town folk and just hang out if you like or whatever makes you happy.
