We met before, outside the yellow town and you invited me to visit your library. I was searching your library for books concerning my race when we met again. We discussed Garod Tremere and realms and gates, remember? We also discussed the fact the tomes you had concerning drow were mostly heretic writings. Remember now?

I watch your group, watch their interfering, mostly in things they know little about. When will you learn that to dabble in things you have little comprehension of only leads to disaster? Do you not yourself know this by recent experience? Not that I care what disasters you humans bring upon yourselves. All it does is bring you more death, more suffering, more chaos and that pleases me in some ways. The trouble with humans is they never live long enough to understand. Not even when they sacrifice their souls and become as liches or vampires or some other form of “undead” do they “live” long enough to understand.

But that is not why I write. I have watched with great amusement the feeble efforts of you and your race as they attempt to “save” that which is called Magincia. The daemons, which invade, are not even the most powerful kind. They are but the minions, the servants of the arch daemons, who themselves are the minions of the elder daemons. And the elder daemons are also servants; do you know whom they serve? No I thought not, how little you know. How little you understand.

I see those whom you call “wise” or “clever” or “intelligent” scrabble and search and experiment on ways to stop the horde flooding through the gate. You do not even know why or how or who “corrupted” the gate. How can you hope to succeed when you cannot even answer those simple questions?

Yes the gate can be shut, if you know how. No human knows how to do it, not even the soulless ones like Garod and his family. Even he has not “walked” long enough to know. But I know one who can shut it. Oh yes I know how it can be shut. Meet my price and it will be done! If you do not, then Magincia is doomed; you are all doomed!

I was browsing the libraries catalogue in search of the books required for the Britainnian Scribes working for Edmund. Just as i was walking down one set of shelves i noticed a letter on one of the tables addressed to Muldran. I picked it up and glanced at the script, i suspected the writer no longer knew Muldran wasnt leading the ShadowCourt and with Lord Gorthyn being away responsibility fell to the
Lords and Ladies of Shadow. So i opened the letter and read its contents . . . .

Finishing the letter a smile crept over my face, oh how these Dark Elves of House Hunett dont change. They have enough ego for all of humankind put together.

I took the letter and screwed it up and concentrated on the parchment willing forth the life fire...and i watched as the letter caught fire as i strode out from the library the wind taking the ashes from my open palm and scattered them to the mountain tops.

Magincia is in the hands of the defenders of Sosaria, people like Flame and her Bloodguard, the men and women of the Dutchy, the elves like Haila who i have seen battling there many times on her own. The Yew Militia and the countless other folk who have dedicated many hours to fight endlessly within the City boundries. If we keep our steel sharp and our hearts with faith then Magincia will prevail.

Muldran looked back to Decardo, as he told him the contents of the letter. Muldran screwed his face up as he tried to work it out - it seemed that Vierna knew something about the situation. But now, he knew that both the 'vanished' Dark Lord and something that Vierna had hinted - that there was another 'outsider' interfering.

Others had suggested that it was simply the pride of the Britannic people that was causing the fall - and still others suggested that perhaps it was because of others not observing the correct early morning rituals of washing ones hands.

Muldran couldn't ignore the dark hints that Vierna had made though - for the dark elf to hint so indirectly, then surely there must be something in her words?

Decardo looked like thunder as Muldran suggested that he should set up a meeting with the dark elf, and find out what it was she was up to...

Callum looked at the Rune in his hands and calling upon a word of power sealed it into the Rune Book made for him by Ebony all those years ago.

It seemed people were messing with the delicate balance between life and death, living and un-living.

Callum always knew when Muldran was in trouble, his oldest friend and a dear companion, he unstrapped the armour from his battles in Magincia and settled down in the bath to rest his tired and aching bones and muscles.

Taking the book from its shelf he began to read the fragments he had pieced together over the years.

Tomorrow he would ride to Rhovanion and see who was interfering in the Void Pathways.

Tabbitha

Sat in her quiet surroundings far from Sosaria,memories of old friends stirred in her heart.

Long days spent studying the Prophecy,gathering its books and poring over translations were beginning to tire her physically now.

Her eyes were tired and constantly moist from straining over tomes endlessly.

Maybe ,she had been too hasty in moving her efforts to far off places,

Maybe she would serve her friends better by standing alongside them.

She had heard no news of Sosaria for some weeks,which left a growing discomfort that all was not well.

Particularly no news from either Laurana or kimi, troubled her deeply.

Taking up her quill,she scribbled a hasty request to callum of the Shadow Court,seeking news of the land.

She included a portion of text relating to the Prophecyshe had been working on

Circling particularly around the last two 'signs'




The third sign
will be the rise of the ancient dead and their
old allies
Orcs and brutes alike.


The fourth sign
will come from the sky's above and act in
manners not seen in their kind before and they
will have new knowledge that man wants and
by it they will guide man into the abyss.



Tabbitha wondered if these stages of the old prophecy had yet been reached,and hoped for a speedy reply from her respected friend.
