I found what seems to be a very thought provoking theory as to what maybe taking place across our lands

Letter to Lady Tabbitha

[A letter written on papyrus is left in the office of Lady Tabbitha at Valetta]



My Lady Tabbitha,

I had planned to write a report on the events of the recent expedition, but my failure to protect you at the time of greatest danger has somewhat disturbed my thoughts. I know you have excused me because of the chaotic circumstances, however I cannot excuse myself.

Nevertheless, following the expedition and of disturbing events beforehand, I had resolved to consult some ancient tomes which I brought with me from my homeland. I felt sure that some clues my be found in them that could explain the reasoning for these destructive happenings.

There is so much of the history of this land that I have still to learn, yet it always amazes me how so of what I have learned seems to be interconnected. Given that so much symbolism on this land has come from the world of Pharaoh, there must be a connection. With your permission, I offer a clue as to who is behind this chaos.

……..And so her Khu (soul) stood in the Hall of Maat awaiting the judgement of Osiris. After 70 days of travelling through the desolate waste of the west, at last the final test was upon her. Thoth waits to record the final judgement.

The Scales of Justice wait. On one side is placed her heart, on the other, the Feather of Truth. On one side too, stands Horus ready to lead the soul to the paradise that is Aalu, on the other, Seth and his terrible minions ready to devour the soul. The heart must be in perfect balance with the feather. Too heavy or too light and all is lost.

She waits……..alas the heart is too heavy! Osiris nods and Seth races forth to claim his prize. But Seth has a sudden change of mind and infuses the soul with a new kind of wickedness. One that will bring chaos to the lands of the living. This pleases Seth. For it is his aim to return the universe to the chaos from whence it came.

She awakes. Back in the land of the living. Alive but not alive, dead but not dead. Her confusion is rapidly overcome by a terrible and inexplicable thirst. A priest of Amun approaches her with a look of concern. She pounces………….

My Lady. At first I could not see the connection. This passage describes the creation of the first vampire. What has this to do with recent events? But I could not sleep. I kept returning and re-reading this passage over and over again. Then suddenly it dawned on me! The Snakemen invasion, the futile dispute that ravages this land, the discovery and effects of blackrock, it all makes sense now.

Seth created the first vampire to wreck havoc on the living, to cause panic and chaos. Could it not be his hand is behind what is happening now? Seth thrives on chaos. Its what he wants. To return everything to the black and meaningless chaos from which all life began!

I implore you my Lady, take what I have discovered to those you consult.

My Lady

Last night a went to visit the city of Trinsic, to look for my friend Kaelyn, a captain of the Duchy Guard. I did not find her, but what I did find was Trinsic under siege from a host of vile creatures. They appeared to be coming from the crator hole near the park.

My Lady, please consider profoundly what I have written in my letter. The hand of Seth is behind this!!!!
