Hail,

I awoke this morn to find a note addressed to me had been delivered to Ironwood Inn where I have been staying these past few days.

It said little other than send greetings from some one who signed himself "Daemor".

For a while I thought it was a mistake as I could not recall meeting anyone of that name. But later that day it came back to me. Over a year ago, well before I had joined the Vesper Militia, I met a young man who went by that name. We were both staying at a rather shabby hostelry on the outskirts of Skara Brae. There were few other guests to talk to and over dinner one evening we exchanged life stories. He divulged little - saying only that he came from a land far across the Western Sea named Merren, I have no way of knowing if this be true or some fabrication but he certainly seemed a foreigner of some sort. He also said that he belonged to some Holy Order that had sent him to our lands for a purpose he was unwilling to tell of. That said he did seem to have a deep seated dislike - hatred even - of magery, in all its forms.

Now I cannot be sure that this is the same man as left me the note , but I believe Hayt and Callum amongst others of the Court may have bumped into him in Vesper today. From what they have told me, it could well be the same person. Perhaps they could relate what happened within this post as they were there first hand, while I am just repeating what I heard from Hayt later on that eve.

I must confess I have little idea why Daemor seems to have followed me here nor whether he intends good or ill towards the Court. Either way I think we have yet to see the last of him. I would advise all to stay vigilant (especially the mages amongst us) and to report any sightings they may have in order that we can piece together what is going on.

Was there a double full moon last night or what?! Vesper seemed to be full of the weirdest people doing the oddest things.

Cal got a bit too friendly with a female vampire and the last I saw of him, he was flapping his arms and trying to fly around the Bank. He also seems to have taken a strange dislike to his silver weapons. I’m not sure if he’s recovered yet, but it might be an idea to carry some garlic with you if he’s around.

As for Daemor, I think Gorthyn is right to be concerned. He stopped me outside the Bank in Vesper and said he knew Gorth. At first I thought he just wanted a friendly chat but soon realised that he knew more about the Shadow Court and its members than I felt comfortable with and I got the impression that he has been keeping watch on us. For what reason, I do not know. He was very evasive when I asked him about his motives.

He appears to have a dislike of magic users whom he refers to as practitioners of “the dark arts”. He also knew which members of the Court were magic users and took a particular interest in Repanse. When I asked him why, he said that she was younger and less experienced that the others and therefore more “vulnerable”. When I challenged him on this, he denied that his words were intended as a threat.

I tried to question him further, but the streets were crowded - Zen and his followers were in town for their weekly “pay day” – and I lost him in the crowd.

I don’t know if Daemor is a threat to us or not but I think we should be wary.

As a Master of these so called Dark Arts, i suggest he be brought over to the Dark side, either that or observed carefully, and dealt with accordingly if he becomes a problem.

Yes this Daemor seemed quite reasonable - talked of the Greater Darkness and Repi in particular as being at risk . He said we had a big part to play in this saga but must watch our mages .

He seems anti - magic .

Well I feel fine so this loons' rantings seem ill placed to me.

I did see some odd looking man in a brown robe staring at me in front of Vesper Bank the other day...but then that seems to happen to me a lot for some reason. Can't think why.

Anyhow it will take more than some zealot to frighten me - perhaps I should deal with him myself and give him a real reason to fear me.

Aye Repanse - be wary of Daemor, he may appear a harmless crank but I sense there may be more to him than first meets the eye.

I would again urge other Court members to keep an eye out for him. It might be best if we can locate him before Rep does.

I'm not sure if he is a threat Repi, I just think we should be cautious. Whilst he was definitely odd, his interest in the Court may be friendly. It was difficult to tell. I just think it's best to take care - to be on the safe side.

This fellow Daemor stopped me in the street today. Said he had to find Repi in order to cleanse her soul. Else some terrible fate is going to befall her !

The Virtues only know what he is talking about but perhaps someone had best find out !
