Muldran pulled the spell scroll from the shelf, and blew the dust from it. Tapping the end of the scroll, he paused for a moment. "Of course," he said out loud, "I'm not attempting to practice any magic that would end existence as we know it, nor am I doing it for any particular gain or reward."

Pausing for a moment, he waited to see if Decardo would jump out from behind a stone wall and berate him, or if a lightning bolt would short-circuit the wards and fry him on the spot. When neither happend (although he did check around the corner, just incase Decardo was there) he breathed a sigh of relief.

Unrolling the scroll on the table, he sketched a few of the runes onto a fresh piece of parchment, making a few annotations, and altering several of the access runes to provide communication through an unknown medium rather than the more typical location of the recipient through the converse angle of the perpendicular plane.

He held his hand over the scroll and concentrated, murmuring the rune's words under his breath before naming the subject of the spell, and the location he'd use it in.

The breath of the word 'Kendra' slowly drifted around the room, as did the word 'Magincia'.
