It was a dark and stormy night...

Actually, it wasn't. Muldran rushed to the bank to collect the bag of reagents stored there. While he was there, he met up with the Vesperian contingent who were joining the expedition. Walking to the Court, they discovered a large number of people waiting; a group calling themselves the 'Renegades of Virtue', who had seen Muldran's advertisment, and decided to come along.

Azreak of the Hospitalliers arrived - and so, briefly, did a group of the Templars, but as Muldran was preparing to leave, the Templars mysteriously left - some other business had called them? We shall see...

Muldran quickly sumamrised what he'd discovered from the Wisp Dungeon book; that an item called the Rainbow Teardrop had been moved from the Wisp Dungeon long ago, and placed within a 'temple of knowledge, guarded by blood'. Muldran had managed to work out that this referred to a place 'upon a sacred river'. So, using his notes and maps from the Library, the group left...

The Shadow Court and their expedition members travelled through to the Valor Shrine in Ilshenar, where people listened as Muldran read out the next set of directions.

The group set off towards the bridge to the south west of the Shrine. They crossed the bridge, and travelled south, keeping close to the river banks. Soon, they arrived at a set of stone steps that lead into the mountain.

Inside, the group quickly prepared for combat; parties roved out ahead, while others stayed to heal. Some walking dead were quickly removed, and the group carried quickly on into the quiet hallways.

Muldran was disturbed by the site of 'golden corpses' littered throughout the place.

Quickly moving past the things, the group encountered some fearsome 'blood elementals' - and worse than this, ones shaded the colour of a burnt sunset. They attacked the expedition, but the brave warriors fought the things to a standstill - even though several party members were greviously wounded.

Going deeper into the dungeon, Muldran traced the route through the map, while the expedition members removed hellhounds and otherbeasties from his path. He single-mindedly lead the group through the blood-soaked stones, until they came to a set of two staircases - one leading up, the other downwards.

Choosing the upper staircase, the group found themselves in a peaceful place, made of blue and white marble. Books stacked here, a meditation chamber, and meeting room, as well as a peaceful garden, and beautiful waterfall. Many people looked amazed - how could such a tranquil place exist in the midst of such danger?

Within this place, Mara of the Renegades and Graham of the Shadow Court found a bright jewel - this had to be the Rainbow Teardrop referred to in the Wisp Dungeon book. As Muldran reached out to pick it up, it seemed to glitter... and when he touched it, rainbow colours washed over his skin. Dropping it in the bag, Mara took hold of it - and found that it had the same effect on her.

Brackus snorted a comment, "We've come here for a shiny bauble?" , and Muldran had to agree - it seems that this 'fearsome artefact' that the Wisps sent here to safety was nothing more than a piece of decoration.

The group packed te jewel safely away, and the group gathered strength to fight their way back out.

Back at the Library, Muldran thanked everyone for their help, and said that he'd let people know when the next expedition would take place - and also if he found anything else out about the Teardrop.
