![]() ![]() ![]() | Judgement on Muldran The Shadow Court gathered in the Shadow Order building - a full week after asking Muldran for his report on his actions. The report is currently embargoed by the Court and only known to the Shadow Court members. Lady of Shadows Cherry said... "I have been considering the options we discussed, some of which were harsh. You should know we considered removing you from your position though in general this was deemed as too harsh for the time being! Muldran we need you to realise how hurt you have made all the Courtiers feel by deceiving us and not consulting us. Your saving grace is that those who have been within the Court for a long time understand that your actions are often done with the best of intentions. However there comes a point when all our patience is tried beyond reason. In truth there are few otions open to us to make you realise the extremity of this position. I would recommend that you remain as our leader however for the time being i would like to see that your use of magic is curtailed to nothing beyond spells of level 4." Gorthyn, Lord of Shadows, added: "And no - absolutely no dabbling in the deep magics, without our express assent. Your research and experiments are going to be curtailed, controlled and monitored." The rest of the Court present agreed the restrictions as above, and the situation will be monitored. Decardo suggested that he would find it difficult to give his allegience to a man who consistantly lied, so he would be watching very closely. Bertrand agreed to hold Muldran's spellbook, while Cherry found one that had only up to the Fourth Circle of spells. |

![]() | Re: Judgement on Muldran I read this report with astonishment. I am starting to wonder if the Court has completely lost whatever marbles it had in the first place. Muldran imprisoned? Muldran's spellbook confiscated? Muldran reprimanded by his own officials? Shame on you all. If I find out that events really did take place as written above then you may well find out that Muldran is not the only dangerous mage in the court. You will soon be finding out the meaning of parboiled... ![]() Visit the Skills Museum of Britannia! |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Judgement on Muldran Muldran sat on his bed in the Inn at Trinsic. He sighed, wondering why he'd been good and left the spellbook Roxanne had slipped him back home... And now, the Library was locked and closed up, as part of the punishment from Trinsic. Yes, he'd attacked Snaeval - while Snaeval was busy causing trouble in the town - and then, stupidly, in front of Guard Brynhild, he launched a magical assault on Vygorn. Of course, Vygorn claimed to be someone else - and had vanished, but that didn't mitigate the problem... Along with that, he'd escaped from Jail when Muldra was trying to find him, and then hadn't been back to Trinsic for two weeks. So, going back to the town had been a mistake. Kaelyn immediately collared him, and Muldran tried to bluster his way out of it. When she started asking him about if he needed his hands to cast magic, he became even more worried. As Gorthyn, Hayt and Salazar turned up, he blurted out what the Guard Captain was planning... She turned to the Paladin Mathias and spoke her sentence - Muldran was to surrender his spellbook totally for one week, as well as the key to his home. He was to live in Trinsic for one week. And for a period of two weeks he was to assist at the Healers - no magical healing - but assisting my cleaning and helping out. In addition, he was to make himself available to lecture on history and the virtues within the town. ![]() When thinking about it, the punishment could have been a lot more severe, even though Muldran argued he was doing what he did for the right reasons. But as Kaelyn pointed out - he had to respect the laws of that particular place. Sighing, Muldran accepted the punishment - and glared at Hayt and Gorthyn as they started to make further suggestions. Unfortunately, as Hayt started humming a few bars to a new tune, and Kaelyn started to put words to it, Muldran realised that the Ballad of Muldran Skully might immortalise this particular turn of events... |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Judgement on Muldran Muldran stood in the Inn. His back ached, his hands were sore. He started to head towards the bed... And a sound behind him made him turn. Callum stood in the front door of the Inn, staring at Muldran. He marched forward, grabbed Mul by the arm, and spun him into a chair. He took a step back and folded his arms, studying Muldran closely. "Explain yourself." Callum intoned. Muldran paused. He thought, and then staretd explaining things from the beginning; the black boxes, the assault in Trinsic, the prison break, his failure to deal with the boxes, handing the ritual to the Templars, his fear of going back to Rhovanion after failing again... Callum told him to be brief... And Muldran reiterated that it was all his fault. Callum handed him the Shroud. Said that no one would recognise him under the cloak, that he could leave the Inn and Trinsic, and no one would be any the wiser. Muldran placed the shroud carefully on the table and stood up. "Callum... The laws of Trinsic... Yes, I know, but... I've been here without magic for a few days. There's only a few days to go. And I've been working. And helping. Yes, there's been some things that people have done out of spite, or the need to see me squirm, but I've actually been able to help. I've been assisting at the Healers, and I can help! Things don't go wrong, I don't cast spells that fail, I'm not involved in any magical research that threatens the fabric of the land - I'm actually being able to help." Muldran looked back towards the room he was lodging in. "For the first time in a very long time, I think I'm actually doing something... right. And it's helping me. I really think so." Callum looked at him. Sighed, and a sad smile crossed his face. "Then stay here." He grinned, and shook his head, and wandered out of the Inn. And Muldran looked back towards the door, thought about his recent troubles, and found them floating away. He chuckled to himself. And then winced as he picked a splinter out of his thumb. The first thing he'd do tomorrow is ask for a smoother mop... |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Judgement on Muldran Muldran may be tolerating his captivity, but others in the Court are not too happy with the turn of events. Roxanne's family is torn apart by the injustice of it all... ...and Cherry and Decardo's journal reveals their thoughts on Muldran's situation. |
