Re: [Journal] Tim's Tales

Thar disguise worked a treat. No one recognised me last noit. I walked bold as brass around Rowvanyun till I bumped inter Mister Bert. 'e 'ad no idea 'oo I wus. 'e Just greeted me an' I made me voice low an' gruff as I culd an' 'e never suspected a fing. I volunteered me services fer thar 'unt an' 'e accepted so orf we went. I wus a bit nervous o' seein' thar others bu' even Mister Moldum never guessed.

When Mister Callum turned up I got a lump in me throat. It 'ad been a long time since I saw 'im. 'e looked old an' tired. I felt a bi' bad abou' deceivin' 'im. In fact me conshuns wus pricklin' me roit bad aroun' then.. on account of me trickin' 'em all. Still... wha's dun is dun. I jest kept me tongue still an' follered 'em inter thar portal. Jeez! Tha' wus real 'ard ter do as me stomach wus really churnin' as I stepped out..bu' it wuld 'ave been a big give away 'ad I thrown up! The bile burned me throat summat chronic bu' I did manage ter 'old it in. Luckily them wus too busy ter notice me.

We entered thar dungeon an' wus immediately beset upon by a gang o' cutthroats an' thar such. I did wha' I dus best... 'id fast an' watched wit 'orror as them knocked out everyone else. I tried ter sneak orf further inter thar dungeon an' fort I wus gunna make it when ZZZAPPP! this energy field appeared in front o' me barring thar way. Quickly I turned ter run back out and ZZAPP! anuver one sealed me orf. I wus trapped in a small area. Then SWOOSH! sum green burnin' flame 'it me an' I felt a bit ill. I managed ter get out of tha' bu' then they summoned a purple swirly fing wha' knocked me fer six..roit out cold I wus!

When we 'ad all cum aroun' we sorted ourselfs out an' went back in. Thar folk tha' 'ad knocked us o'er 'ad gorn so we wus able ter continue down deep inter thar dungeon. It wus damp an' chilly in thar an' thar others seemed ter 'ave truble seein'. They needed torches an' thar loik. Strangely enough I wus able ter see jest fine!

Soon we came ter thar spawnin' monsters. It wus roit hectic an' I jest 'id most of thar time an' tried ter keep outter thar way. I ent tha' gud wit me bow bu' I did loose a few tellin' arras. I saw Mister Moldum get knocked over many times an' I wanted ter go an' see ifn 'e wus alroit bu' I didn't want ter break me disguise. Miss Cherry wus loik a devil on 'orseback..rushin' 'ere an' thar an' killing stuff. Must remember not ter get on wrong side o' 'er anytime soon!

I did get knocked unconscious at one point when I wus not payin' attention. It wus jest after i saw Mister Moldum go down an' I jest wanted ter go over an' 'elp him an' check 'e wus alroit. Wus distracted an' a lich zapped me wit some magic. I wus lucky sumone else finished it orf tho. Miss Cherry brough' me roun' an' I wus terrified 'er wuld see thro me disguise, bu' like thar rest of them they wus too busy ter notice me really.

Mister Callum took a nasty blow ter thar 'ead an' it wus decided we shuld 'ead out an' get 'im ter thar 'ealers so we legged it. Ter tell yer thar truth I wus a bi' glad on tha'. I felt roit useless. When we go' back ter Rowv I jest melted away inter thar night. I went ter thar ruins of thar 'ut an' bedded down among thar rubble in thar corner an' 'oped it wuldn't snow. Seems thar best place fer me roit now..outter thar way.

Re: [Journal] Tim's Tales

Sunday 7th October

Tim sat on the grass, enjoying the babbling sound of the nearby brook. He had been walking around the area again and had discovered this little retreat. Suddenly , he heard a strange sound. A flapping, almost a buzzing. Something fluttered by his head and he quickly swung around to see what it was. Nothing. It had gone. He sighed and shook his head a little. Maybe his ears were still tricking him.

A few moments passed and the sound came again. Quickly grabbing his bow he jumped to his feet, nocking the arrow at the same time. Whirling around he sought the source of the sound. A flash of blue and something landed by his feet.

For a few moments he kept his bow raised, aiming at the object. Then he lowered his bow and reached down to pick it up. Slinging his bow over his shoulder and the arrow back into his quiver he examined the pretty blue bird he had picked up.

It was constructed from paper, but now seemed lifeless. Examining it he could see parts of words inside the folds, so carefully he unfolded the paper and smoothed it out on his knee.

"Tim,

I am sorry that I have not seen you for several days. This is most remiss of me as your guardian, and I can only beg your forgiveness, and ask you to bear with me. I am taking several steps to further improve and safeguard our future wellbeing, since I am no longer the leader of the Court.

To make up for this, I have a request of you. My request is this: I wish for you to think of a place you've heard of - perhaps rumoured, far distant - that you have never seen before, or a place where you have desired to visit. Whether this would be a posh eatery (such as Swaggers on a Thursday, when they actually put the rubbish out) or standing atop the tallest mountain of the land.

Such a journey would be good for both of us, and will, I hope, allow me to share some of the incipient joys of parenthood. I hope.

Yours,

Muldran Skully (Father. Or Dad. Father makes me old. So make it Dad.)

As Tim read the signature a warm feeling welled up inside of him and he smiled. There was something he had always wanted to do. He had never had the time or patience before but perhaps now he should do it. He needed to find his direction and somehow he felt that to visit all the shrines would help him. What better way to do this than with his Dad!

Turning the paper over he wrote out his reply. Carefully cupping his hands around the finished letter he closed his eyes and concentrated very hard. Suddenly he felt the paper fluttering in his hands and he opened them to allow the paper bird to flutter free. He watched it fly away into the distance and with a smile he leant back against the wall of the little bridge.

Re: [Journal] Tim's Tales

Monday 8th October

I went along ter wait at thar library fer us ter go an' 'elp wit thar Felucca 'unt. Mister Callum wus thar an' it sorta threw me an' I let slip I 'ad been on thar larst 'unt. Anyways no one seemed ter mind I 'ad bin in disguise. Mister Callum wus a bit shocked by thar news I 'ad becum an elf. Need ter explain wha' 'appened ter 'im sumtime. Anyways I wus given sum new armour ter 'elp keep me alive. Nice an' green it is too!

We didn't run inter no truble this time. Jest once I wus thrown orf me 'orse when it got spooked at one of them Lich Lords bu' folk thar wus kind an' thems 'elped me up seein' 'as 'ow I were a bit stunned loik. It wus roit excitin' killin' all them undeadies. I felt loik I made a bit of a contribushun this time. Arfter thar #unt I went back ter Rowvanyun ter wait fer me Dad. Fer sum reason 'e 'adn't made it ter thar 'unt loik 'e said 'e wuld. I wus fearful 'e wuld ferget our special trip too. Bu' 'e arrived all in a fluster as usual an' we set to preparin'.

Tim waited uneasily by the library in Rhovanion. He was looking forward to visiting the shrines. He needed answers and maybe he would find them on this trip with Muldran. He really hoped he would. So many questions bubbled up inside him but he didn't know how to ask them. How had he been able to return Muldran's letter? He had just done it without thinking and it worried him. Why could he see in the dark when no one else could? Was this to do with the transformation into an elf? Always, Tim had avoided magic, but now he felt he was being drawn to it. There was something inside him that felt wild and untamed and he feared if he did not control it, it would break free.

As Muldran appeared around the corner, Tim grinned. Soon they were busy planning the trip. Muldran ran around like a headless chicken while Tim sat and wrote a short list of supplies they would need to collect in Jhelom. Eventually Muldran was ready and he conjured a portal, through which Tim bravely walked. Stumbling out in Jhelom, Tim reacted as he usually did and was promptly sick. Muldran was concerned as usual and said he must speak to Cherry about a solution to this gate sickness. Soon the supplies were purchased.

After a shakey start Muldran managed to get the small ship under control and the sea journey was mostly uneventful. Just an errant water elemental which they soon dispatched to the watery depths. During the short voyage there was time for some talk. Tim soaked up the stories that Muldran told him, feeling more relaxed as they continued. There were a few things he had to tell Muldran... like what happened to the little hut and the wildness he felt surging inside himself.

Docking at the island was a bumpy affair and Tim had to kill a snake that threatened to eat Muldran. A short trek through the undergrowth brought them to the first shrine. As he approached Tim felt the wildness inside himself surging. Instinctively he knelt before the shrine and bowed his head. Time stood still. A word entered Tim's mind. Ra. He spoke it out loud and the wildness inside seemed to subside slightly. Everything was motionless. He breathed deeply and in the stillness, he examined the wildness inside himself and saw it was composed of many threads of energy, all jumbled together within, churning, wild, untamed. Ra. He could see one thread more clearly. Ra. He mentally grabbed the thread and held it fast. It struggled like a slippery eel but he held it firm and slowly unravelled it from the rest. Time moved on again and Tim slowly stood to see Muldran watching over him. Not much was said as he made the fire and they settled down beside it. Tim stared at the stars for sometime before finally drifting off to sleep.

Re: [Journal] Tim's Tales

Thursday 11th October

Well we didn't make it ter thar next shrine on account of us gettin' delayed a bit in Trinsic. I fergot 'ow intrestin' a place it can be, wit all thar comin's an' goin's thar. Thar trip from Valor shrine wus refreshin' an' me Dad only got lorst a coupla times. We 'ad ter back track a bi' cos 'e overshot Trinsic! Bu' it wus relaxin' an' I managed ter tell 'im wha' 'appened wit thar little 'ut. Felt better ownin' up ter it an' me Da' wus understandin' 'bout it. 'e said 'e wuld speak ter Bohem..summat. I ferget 'is name, bu' thar geezer wha' owns thar land in Rowvanyun.

As we approached Trinsic, we 'ad a little water elemental truble. I blamed me Dad fer bad sailin' inter it, an' made 'im walk thar plank! Arrr me 'earties! Well I didn't really. 'e 'ad ter get on thar gang plank ter reach thar corpse an' I culdn't resist sayin' it!

Thar Duke 'as changed from wha' I remembers. 'e 'as become a grouchy git! Fer a start 'e didn't believe I wus Tim as all. 'e wus not prepared ter listen ter wha' I 'ad ter say. Even wit me Dad backin' me up 'e wuldn't believe me. I got all upset an' jest abou' walked away bu' me Da' kept tryin' ter persuade 'is grays to listen. Thar Duke I remembers wuld 'ave spared a minute fer Tim no matter 'ow busy 'e wus. 'e wus snappy wit thar guards too.

Me an' me Dad decided tha' thar Duke is not 'iself an' we wuld return ter see 'ow fings were in a cupla days arfter visitin' sum nore shrines. While we wus discussing thar matter, this nice lady called Morgan, came up ter us an' started talkin'. She wus roit intrestin' ter listen ter. Me Dad thought she may be intrested in 'elpin' in thar Court. Wuld be nice ifn she did join us.

While we wus in Trinsic, witout realisin' it I did sum magic. Kinda scarey, bu' it 'appened witout me finkin' 'bout it. Accordin' ter me Dad I made a sigil in thar air an' vanished afore 'is eyes. From my point of view I jest wanted ter see wha' wus 'appenin' inside wit thar Duke, witout bein' seen, so I stepped inter thar shadows ter creep inside like I is gud at doin'. Only it seems this time I vanished afore I reached thar shadows! When we set orf agin from Trinsic by ship, I spoke 'bout thar magic tha' I is sure is all knotted up insider me. Me Dad wus so busy listenin' ter me 'e almost shipwrecked us.

Thar island, wha' me Dad nearly took out wit thar ship, wus a pretty place an' I named it Tim's Island. We decided ter make camp thar as it wus growin' late. 'Sides, ifn 'e is this bad at sailin' in thar day, I dreads ter fink wha' 'e is loik in thar night! I tried ter cook sum ribs bu' it didn't work out roit so we 'ad bread instead an' chatted 'bout thar days events. I made a decision terday ter lern 'bout magic an' I arsked me Dad ifn 'e wuld teach me. 'e said 'e wuld be proud ter do so. 'e wuld be proud! I felt all warm inside ter 'ear 'im say tha'!

Re: [Journal] Tim's Tales

Monday 15th October

A soft breeze ruffled Tim's hair as he lay sleeping on the small island. Tim smiled as he dreamt of Muldran trying to make his hair look a little less unruly or was it Callum? or Sally Buttons? The images seemed to flicker from one to the other. Suddenly the dream shifted and he was standing facing Muldran. Muldran was watching him carefully as he struggled to pronounce an incantation. With a flick of his fingers the spell was cast. A blinding flash ensued that threw him backwards. He scrambled to his feet and saw Muldran sprawled on his back, not moving. With a gasp Tim woke up and with relief saw Muldran still asleep nearby. He lay back and drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

We set orf agin by ship ter thar next shrine. Honor it wus called. I fink me Dad is gettin' better at thar sailing , cos we only grounded a cupla times. Afore we reached thar shrine, me Dad stopped at a island and said thar wus sommat he 'ad ter see in thar middle of it. So we fetched thar ship up ter thar shore an' set orf. It wus a strange black pit of sum sort. I arsked me Dad 'ow 'e knew it wus 'ere, bu' 'e wusnt sure. We concluded tha' it wus an old memory of 'is. Wus an intrestin' pit anyways.

Shortly arfter we made it to thar shrine. I wus kinda glad we 'ad got thar as I culd feel thar energy insider me beginnin' ter get restless. We soon found thar shrine an' I went an' touched it, bu' as soon as I 'ad me insides seemed ter go wild as if them wus tryin' ter escape. It seemed ter sap me strength an' I 'ad great truble finkin' wha' I wus doin'. Then a word entered me mind jest loik afore. Summ. I quickly said it as I fell ter me knees. The energy or magic or wha'ever it is insider me leapt around an' I felt faint. I 'eard me Dad sayin' tha' it wus usual ter say thar mantra three times so I shouted it agin. 'ow thar 'ell I managed ter say it a third time I dunno bu' I did an' thar ragin' inside subsided.

I wus able ter concentrate me thoughts an' I culd see a strand of magical energy slowly unravellin' from thar rest of thar mess. I knew I 'ad ter grab it fast so I did. Wit me mind of course. Wit a little struggle I wus able ter pull it straight an' lay it alongside thar one I captured at thar Valor shrine.Seems strange tha' once I 'as grabbed them they jest lay an' behaved themselfs. It took me a moment or two to regain me strength bu' as soon as I 'as we set orf agin. This time it wus a long trip ter thar Justice shrine, bu' I felt a calmness insider me an' I knew it wuld be alroit.

Back on thar sea agin we met a few elementals wha' we 'ad ter deal wit. Me Dad wus awesum wit thar magical bolts an' stuff an' I threw a cupla arras ter finish 'em orf. We didn't get away wit no injuries mind, bu' I is good wit bandages an' me Dad can 'eal wit magic which I noticed wus not affectin' me loik it used ter do. I didn't feel no revulsion from bein' touched wit it. When I mentioned tha' ter me Dad 'e wundered ifn I wus jest gettin' used ter it.

It wus a long walk through thar Yew area ter thar shrine an' I put me cloak on in case them guards wus aroun'. Apparently them dunt loik elfs much. Me feet wus worn out by thar time we reached Tel'mar. I remembered thar place from when I 'ad been brung 'ere ter 'eal. Wus good revisitin' it. As we wus both wore out we decided ter sleep in Tel'mar an' visit thar shrine termorra.

It 'ad been a grand day wit me Dad. I learned more 'bout 'im an' I fink 'e learned more 'bout me. I is gunna really try 'ard ter learn thar magic well from me Dad!

Thursday 18th October

........With a flick of his fingers the spell was cast. A blinding flash ensued that threw him backwards. He scrambled to his feet and saw Muldran sprawled on his back, not moving. Staggering forward he dropped to his knees next to Muldran. Deep burn marks surrounded Muldran, seering deep into the grass and still smouldering. Tim raised his head to look at Muldrans body....

With a jolt, he woke and immediately looked across to where Muldran lay. He watched a few moments, till he was sure he could see and hear Muldran breathing, then he lay back. Listening to the soft sounds of Muldran sleeping he eventually fell once more into a dreamless sleep.

Arfter a quick wash we wus ready ter face thar Justice shrine. Me innards wus getting all knotted up agin with them strands of energy, bu' as we approached thar shrine they sorta settled. It felt loik them wus waiting fer summat. When I touched thar shrine it felt loik a bolt of energy shot through me. I could 'ear me Dad encouragin' me ter fink of thar word, bu' thar pain wus so much it were 'ard to fink of anyfing. It felt loik thar energy wus tryin' ter escape. Thar word "beh" eventually came inter me mind an' I said it three times as quick as I culd. In me mind I culd sense another strand slowly unravellin' an' jest loik afore I wus able ter grab it an' set it straight alongside thar other two.

Arfter I 'ad recovered we set orf through Yew forest. I fink me Dad needs lessuns in orienteerin'. 'e wus as gud at gettin' lorst on land as 'e wus at sea! Mebe I shuld get 'im a sextant loik sailors 'ave, bu' dunno ifn it works on land as well as sea.

As we got near Yew Abbey we came across sum sorta tourniment. Thar were folks linin' up ter 'it thar 'ell outter each other. It were intrestin' ter watch an' me Dad suggested I shuld learn sum sword fightin' from Mister Deckard, bu' I ent sure 'e wuld want ter teach me anyfing! It were dark by thar time thar fightin' 'ad finished so we stayed thar night in Yew.

Friday 19th October

......Muldran was watching him carefully as he struggled to pronounce an incantation. With a flick of his fingers the spell was cast. A blinding flash ensued that threw him backwards. He scrambled to his feet and saw Muldran sprawled on his back, not moving. Staggering forward he
dropped to his knees next to Muldran. Deep burn marks surrounded Muldran, seering deep into the grass and still smouldering. Tim raised his head to look at Muldrans body. Fear surged through him as he saw the blackened clothes. Charred, ragged. The skin beneath looked black and shrivelled. "No!"...

"No!" The cry tore itself from Tim's throat and he sat up, drenched in sweat. His heart was hammering in his chest and a sense of loss mingled with fear washed through him. Disorientated, he scrambled to his feet, whirling around trying to make sense of where he was. As his eyes alighted on Muldran's sleeping form he realised it had been just a dream. Muldran stirred in his sleep and Tim thought he had woken him up with his cry, but Muldran did not open his eyes. Quietly slipping outside of the Abbey he sat under a tree and watched the dawn arrive.

The play staged by the guards had been interesting, but Muldran and Tim had to reluctantly continue their journey. However, it had been good to see so many courtiers at the event.Soon Tim and Muldran were once more on their way. The journey to Compassion shrine was long and mostly uneventful apart from nearly getting devoured by the denizens of the sands that surrounded the shrine. It fell to Tim to protect them both with his bow, as Muldran had run out of some reagents.

As Tim approached the shrine the wild magic inside began to convulse. With each step it became more agitated. It felt as if it were trying to break free. Reaching towards the shrine, a spark leapt from his hand and he quickly stepped back, looking to Muldran for reassurance. Muldran spoke calmly and urged him to continue. With renewed determination Tim stepped forward once more and touched the shrine.

A bolt of pure energy shot down his arm, through his hand to the shrine, creating a barrier of pain through which Tim could barely see. "Concentrate Tim!" Muldran urged. Tim felt the wild energy inside surging, trying to escape the shrine. Tim concentrated on Muldrans words and suddenly the mantra was etched in his mind "Mu, mu, mu".

The wild magic inside twisted and spun, but one strand was slowly unravelling and Tim grabbed it with his mind and pulled it free from the entanglement. Instintively Tim gathered the other untangled strands of energy and coiled them neatly together in a corner of his mind. The strands seemed to hum gently as he did so... Ra Summ Beh Mu. A calmness spread through him and the wildness subsided once more.

They did not reach the next shrine that night, but made camp at the back of a dry cave. Tim lay down, afraid to sleep.

Re: [Journal] Tim's Tales

Sunday 22nd October

I did eventually get sum sleep. I reckon tha' 'umming sent me orf ter sleep in thar end. When I woke I wus alone in thar cave. Mister Moldum... Dad... 'ad gone fer a stroll ter see if 'e culd find them reagents 'e lorst. Only truble were 'e brung back 'alf thar compassion inhabitants wit him! Lucky 'e can run near as fast as me!

We wus near Vesper so we decided ter call in ter thar bank, so Dad culd restock wit reagents. On thar way out Dad told me ter keep me bow ter 'and. Seems 'e wus expectin' truble. Bloodi 'ell 'e wus roit! I reckons 'e woke every damn critter in thar forest! 'E ent gud at walkin' quietly. Wus as well 'e were able ter cast sum bolts and fings as thar were a few too many fer me ter deal wit alone.

It started orf wit jest one huge ugly ant bu' thar noise of Dad's spell must 'ave woken thar 'ole neighber'ood....

an' soon we 'ad more company, 'arpies an' ogres joined in fer gud measure!

Then as we wus leggin' it I stumbled across a bleedin' ant nest an' all 'ell let loose. We didn't 'alf run fast from thar. Took us a while ter get free bu' we managed it!

Soon artfer escapin' thar gi-ants, Dad managed ter get 'iself poisoned. I managed ter 'eal 'im a little wit me bandages. Sorta stopped thar blood leakin' away bu' I were puzzled as ter why 'e 'adn't used magic ter 'elp. Arfter 'e 'ad recovered a bit I learned why. Jest as well I wus thar ter 'elp him!

Thar shrine we wus 'eadin' fer wus thar Shrine of Sacrifice.. well named seein' 'ow we wus nearly sacrificed on route! I were dreadin' touchin' thar shrine bu' it 'ad ter be dun. Me Dad knew thar word fer this shrine an' tha' 'elped. 'e never told it me, bu' 'e did 'elp me remember cus it were thar one 'e told me 'bout on our first day of thar journey. Cah! Thar were a little rhyme tha' went wit it bu' I can't remember it roit now. It made me laugh when 'e first told me.

I were roit exhausted arfter bu' I didn't 'ave time ter rest cos Dad suddenly came over all strange. 'E wus sayin' thar were summat wrong at Humility. 'E weren't able ter tell me more bu' 'e needed ter return ter Rowvanyun ter look up sumfing. So we used magic ter return. Still dunt loik thar gates!

Back at Rowv, I 'ad a sorta argument wit Mister Deckard-oh 'bout 'is name. 'e got all 'uffy on thar way I said it. I dus me best! Dad tried ter 'elp me say it roit bu' tha' still didn't please 'im. Then summat 'appened wha' ent 'appened in a long time. I lorst me temper. I wus gunna stick me dagger inter Mister Deckard-oh! I didn't though. Dad an' Bert managed ter stop me sum'ow.

Re: [Journal] Tim's Tales

Tuesday 23rd October

Anger flared up inside of him and he stood up defiantly. There was nothing wrong with his eyes.. it was just tiredness! He glared at Decardo and Cherry and almost drew his dagger. Inside, he felt like he was being torn apart. The wild magic fueled his anger.. as if willing him to kill. He struggled to maintain control. Then a distant humming began in his mind.. ra, summ, beh, mu, cah..repeating, getting closer and more defiant. He hummed them out loud "Ra, summ, beh, mu, cah" and his anger drained as suddenly as it had appeared. Once more he turned his attention to the meeting, keeping the words humming in his mind.

The Court were to travel to Magincia to assess the situation there. On arrival, the city at first appeared normal, but further exploration showed things were not quite right. All the ponds had been drained and there were no animals to be seen. In fact, it was eerily quiet, like the calm before the storm.

Muldran decided he and Tim would stay in Magincia and explore further before continuing on their shrine journey.

Re: [Journal] Tim's Tales

Thursday 25th October

It wus all quiet in Magincia when we woke this mornin'. Too quiet. We dint find nuffin diffrent so we made our way ter thar next shrine. On thar way Dad showed me summat real strange. Roit in thar middle of thar sea thar were a pillar wit a snake round it. He called it a serpent pillar.

We need ter go back an' explore tha' pillar anuver time I reckons. Any'ow we 'ad ter get to thar next shrine so we left it fer now. Dad's docking terday wus worse than 'is sailin'. 'e nearly ship wrecked us as 'e crashed inter thar shore. Even Dad agreed it were a bad landin'!

Thar humility shrine wus plain an' simple. I loiked it! As I got near I culd feel thar wild magic stirrin' bu' thar wus sommat more this time. Thar ankh necklace me Dad gave me, felt loik it were 'umming. A soft vibration sorta fing. I 'ad noticed it afore an' when I mentioned it ter Dad 'e said tha'mebe it wus a focus of sum sort.

Dad told me ter concentrate on thar ankh so as I went ter touch thar shrine I 'eld thar ankh and focussed on it. I felt thar 'umming increasin' thar closer me 'and got ter thar shrine. I wus roit afraid I wus gonna get 'urt bu' Dad kept talkin' an' encouragin' me so I jest went fer it.

As me 'and touched thar shrine I felt thar ankh get warmer an' thar wus a golden light comin' from it. It wus loik strands of energy wus spirallin' out from it an' around me. I felt no pain this time. It wus loik thar ankh shielded me an' thar mantra just flowed inter me mind. Lum. As I said thar mantra I wus able ter see thar strand unravel an' I gathered it in an' added it ter thar others. Thar ankh 'ummed more.. almost as if it wus 'appy!

We made camp by thar shrine an' as I fell asleep I thought 'bout thar ankh. Ra, summ, beh, mu, cah, lum.
