Missing in Magincia
Captain Kaelyn gave Muldran a notebook, a sample of Blackrock and a bloodied quill, that was recovered from the corrupted moongate in Magincia, two weeks ago. It spoke of Kendra's research into the gate, and the use of the blackrock. Kaelyn was hoping that - with the retreat and defeat of the Demons - that Kendra would find a way to return. She hasn't.

So near, So Fargo
Stewan Seagull reports that Fargo - after being detonated in a nasty accident in Magincia - has been seen as a ghost. Apparently the ghost knows where its body is, and still has a task to do.
Sadly, the ghost can only seem to respond to yes\no questions, so Stewan is unsure what the task is. Can the Court assist in translating from beyong the grave - as Cherry did with Mandro - or has the trauma the Fargo-shade experienced so severe that we'll have to do some Qs and As?

Missing in Magincia
Following the events of the Books of Sin quest, Muldran has been searching for the communication spell by himself. He's now located one, and is going to attempt to reach out to Kendra at the dead Moongate in Magincia.

Gems and Jade
Kaelyn stopped Muldran and Antar, and showed them a Gem that Jade Bastet may have used to control a girl named Miyuki. Inpecting the gem, Muldran couldn't detect anything magical about the gem itself - so it shouldn't allow Jade to control others - but it may have been attuned as a kind of focus, for the girl.
As Antar and Muldran were leaving, a disturbance took place, and Jade slipped into the jail, before exiting. What was that all about?

• Antar has the gem, and is going to test it to see if he can work out anything else.
• Muldran remembered a book called The Mystic Jewel from his Library, and has made a copy that Antar holds.
• Antar and Muldran looked for the girl in the healers, but she was no longer around.
• Investigate what Jade and the Tremere are up to - they haven't been this... direct in some time!

Gems & Jade

Muldran looked down at the piece of paper in his hand, and with a wave, transcribed it to a book. Dropping it on to the current events shelf within the Library, he wondered what else had been found out about the gems... Antar had given some direction about where to look next, but what did this mean for Jade's plans as well?

*A scroll with preliminary findings about the gem and the magic employed has been sold to Captain Kaelyn and a copy delivered to Muldran.*

Gems and Jade

While visiting Antar in Trinsic, Muldran was invited to speak to Jade who was in jail - she'd speak only to Irvyn about the gems.

In the cells, Jade spoke with Muldran and Antar; she tried to impress upon them that the girl Miyuki had already been acting 'funny' before the gem had been handed to her - and that Jade was trying to help. Although this seemed to match what had been said to Cherry, Antar was still sceptical.

Discussing the gems, Jade didn't let anything else slip - Muldran thought to ask Cherry if she'd managed to find information. But Jade once more alluded to Muldran's past, suggesting that he should know better - and that she could leave the place at any time.

And that she was waiting for something. An apology, yes, but perhaps more...

Kendra's Demonic Hangover

After a week of searching through scrolls, Muldran arranged to meet Kendra at the Trinsic Rose. Putting the finishing touches to the spell (with the disapproving glare of Hildy nearby) Muldran was suddenly aware that Vierna was sitting in the chair next to him. Sketching down a few more runes, Muldran tried to ignore her - a difficult thing at best - and waited for Kendra to arrive.


When she did, Muldran attempted to use the spell to 'reflect what was in Kendra's heart' - and put her mind at rest about the fears she had about a 'demonic hangover'. But Vierna's cursed blackrock caused Muldran to assume that his spell was being interfered with - well, what else could it be? First casting, he became a woman. Second, he became a puddle of slime. And third, he became a demon, crashing through the walls outside, with Gwen screaming at him about the damage he had caused...

After changing back into his more usual shape, Muldran apologised to Kendra, and suggested that he meet with her in a private location - as he scowled at Vierna. Who merely pointed out that Muldran shouldn't scowl so much, it made him look old. Antar, who had watched the entire farce smiled wryly, and offered one of his properties. Muldran resolved to add some protection and truthtelling runes to the spell, and left.

Was it his imagination, or had Kendra look slightly worried when he'd turned into a demon (understandable, really, she'd been trapped in a hell dimension!) and when he said the spell was at fault, did she look relieved?
