![]() | A Harsh Awakening Stormcrow woke up in a pool of sweat. The unfamiliar couch he was been sleeping on was frightening at first, as the old man tried to remember where he were. His eyes couldn't help him one bit - he was still as blind as a bat. Slowly memories came to him and he calmed down. The numbing pain from the burns covering his body was fading, no doubt thanks to Lady Cherry's healing skills. The blisters were starting to heal, but they would certainly leave his face and body horribly scarred for the rest of his life. Keeping my vow of chastity just became even easier, Storm thought with a sarcastic, tired smile on his face. He tried to listen for any signs of the time of day, and from the utter silence, determined that it was still night. Taking support from the walls, Storm staggered up and walked towards what he felt to be the front entrance. The chilly breeze met him at the doorway and he shunned away from it. Making the tedious, blind walk back to the sofa he sat down and thought about the events that had taken place in the Void. He would have to tell the Courtiers about his journey, even if some of the things he had encountered were almost too dreadful to even describe. They had saved him from a certain death at the gate and he owed them an explanation. But not yet. He would need more rest to recover enough strength. Laying down on the soft couch Storm quickly fell asleep again, this time resting easier... |
