My name is Stormcrow. Aye, I know it's not much of a name, but my father never revealed to me why he picked it. I guess raising a child without the mother's help seemed as a dooming task for him at the time. So, let me tell something about myself then.

As I said, I was raised by my father, who was quite the ladies' man back then. He told me I just appeared to his doorstep one morning in a basket when I was about a year old. I have no memory of my mother, and my father... well he wasn't the dream dad type. Still, I think he did quite well, rising me to take care of myself early on. He was away from home a lot, going on what he used to call "business trips". In the meantime, our modest home was left to my attendance alone. In the evenings, I waited for my father to come home and dreamed how I too would be travelling around the world when I was older.

Raised to be independent, I left my childhood home early and sought to explore the world beyond. I quickly noticed that the ways of the warrior were best suited for me, and I mastered the use of weapons and armor. After trying the path of a Paladin for a while, I decided to try and carve myself the Fame and Fortune I sometimes dreamed of. I founded the Iron Glove Mercenary company, many years ago, and somehow I managed to raise a veritable army of about 50 able soldiers or so.

As I grew older, the life of constant fighting for others' causes and money was getting tiresome. I left my company to able hands and travelled far away, seeking myself in serene places. I cast down the sword and the shield, and studied the arcane arts, reading more books than most consume through their whole lives in a matter of just a few years. Still, I could not find my meaning, and left the world of Sosaria for many long years.

It was there, in a secret place, where I met a man. I only know him as the Master, for he took me under his wing to teach and to enlighten me. I learned the true way of the Virtues and meditated countless hours pondering over their true meaning. One day, the Master told me I should return to Sosaria now to fulfill my Purpose. I asked him what it was, and he replied: "Whatever thou dost, thou shalt find thy Purpose. Sooner or later."

So I returned, not two moons ago, and sought out to re-establish my contacts here. I found that the world had slumped in a state of idleness, and as I had been told, Chaos would inevitably spawn from such weariness. I seek to oppose these Dark Powers wherever they appear. This brought me first to the Dragoni Templars, with whom I did not stay for long, for the Temple was falling into disarray and I could not find them as allies to fulfill my Purpose.

It is because of all this, that I have now come to you, fellow Courtiers. I hope that with your vast knowledge I will be able to find my true Purpose and to fulfill my destiny, whatever it shall be. I hail you as my brothers and sisters now, ready and willing to give my life in helping you to find your Purposes aswell.

The Master says: "Only in Death does Duty end". And I am not planning to die just yet, so I guess we got some work to do...

I'm one of the old timers who left Sosaria for several years but, in the end, I had to come back; nowhere else had I met such friendly welcoming people as those of the Shadow Court. I know you will find them just the same.

We will do the rest. All our private forums are linked together so you gain access to all by applying for one.


Welcome to the ShadowCourt, i was surprised to see your post, i am a bit out of phase with everyone but hope to catch up with you soon. Although i am off dog sleding from Monday for a week.
