OOC: This is a boat race to celebrate the Vesperian elections. As saturday will be busy, with the elections and the FA Cup final weekend. The race will be on Monday 21st of May. At 8pm GMT! Expect delays!

If you wish to enter, please contact me Ned Stark on 425-079-527, or reply to this thread! You may enter as many teams as you wish per guild.

=-Rules-=
-Boats must have 3 members.
-Although primarily a race, combat is allowed! If your crew is killed, there will be rescue boats about.
-I will supply the explosion pots. No conflags.
-All other combat classes are allowed, but this is an RP event so CoRE rules apply!

The objective is to sail your boat from Vesper docks to Nujel'm. At the tip of the island there will be a referee and many coloured items of clothing on the floor. One of your crew must go to land, collect that item, then board. You then must go to Bucaneers Den and do the same thing. The first boat to cross the finish line is declared the winner and wins 100,000 coin!

Enemies of Vesper, this is a public event and we invite all to come to represent their cities. Captains are asked to keep order amongst their troops, and the Vesper Militia will keep order in the city. Disguises aren't needed!

I will sell you a cannon, in exchange for you standing down at the election!

I don't require one that much... I just need some poor folk to become crew members..

This should be fun, providing my brother Sabein Stark remembers how to sail!

Here are some pictures from the Vesper Regatta!

Although we had a poor turn out, it was still a good event!

With a great help from Escaflowne and Baron Mic, the event was being prepared!



Although i missed taking a shot of the start, the two teams from Skara Brae got excellent starts, followed by Team Olk, and the Orcs who were more interested in killing each other. However it seemed the only proffessional sailors in the Indomitable, Captained by Van Concidius had forgot to pull their sails up, and they had a slow start!

Heres a picture of the first check point, with Gauvain's Skarans in the lead, followed by Team Olk.



I foolishly couldn't wait, as there were no other photographers present!
The blue Skara team came third to the check point, with The Indomitable fourth and the Orcs struggling to read their own handwriting.

Draxen Davion stood at the northern tip of Bucs Den waiting, and the yellow Skaran team was the first there....and they held their lead!



Team Olk followed behind, but it wasnt a close race...
The Indomitable had to thank their captain for a third place spot, and the Orcs sailed in a suprise fourth.



We then had to wait a while for the fifth crew to return, aledgedly they got lost!



So the winners were Gauvain & Pierra of the Community of Skara Brae! Congratulations!

Everyone tried to relax, although the Orcs did cause some trouble with throwing some explosion potions at the Militia! The Swaggers staff prepared a makeshift bar, and eveyone enjoyed themselves!
