As Ria'hnon recovered from thew blow to her head,she saw the booted feet running to and fro'

Trying to sit up,her head still spinning from the concussion blow,she tried to focus and find her bretheren.It looked like a good few more had been knocked also,as she saw them staggering around in their healers robes.

Standing she unsteadily took a step or two,looking for Escaflowne.

She saw him a few yards in front,and holding the bandage too her head,made her way toward him.

Suddenly she felt a stabbing pain in her back,and turning sharply round,saw a member of Skara Brae bearing down on her.

Flabbergasted,she tried to evade the blows,calling for her to stop.Her pleas went unheard though,that was until Kaelyn ran by and ordered the woman to cease.

Gratefully Ria' looked to Kaelyn to thank her,but got ordered to get off Trinsic soil.Stating that she was trying to do that if folk would stop attacking her,Kaelyn told her to get a move on ,before she shot her in the foot !!!!

Ordered to the moongate with an escort,Ria walked unsteadily along.

She noticed a crowd of people had gathered around her blocking her way.

The folk from Skara Brae who had attacked her in Vesper earlier in the evening were crowding her,as was Arthurias and his new frends

Arthurias grabbed her by the hair and pulled her east away from the moongate and everyone followed.Trying to get him to release her hair,Ria was unaware when the argument started.

The folk from Skara and Arthurias' band were arguing over who should have her as their prisoner.

Ria said a silent prayer it was not Skara as earlier one of them had made it clear she would end up in his bed.Or at least her head would.

Her head still causing her vision to be blurred Ria tried to make out who was argiung with who,when a fight broke out.

Seeing her chance to escape,Ria ran for her life in the direction of the moongate.

She was sure Esca and the others would be there waiting for her to catch up.............wouldnt they ?


She never made it though as one of the 'gang' had seen her flight and soon caught up with her bumbling attempt to escape.

Dragging her down,she was thrown into a portal,and ordered to take a walk on the other side.

She was totally lost now,but assumed she must still be in Trinsic some where ,but recognised no land marks.

She knew they were near the sea though.

As they made there way through the thick undergrowth of a forest,she could hear and smell the sea to both the east and west of their path.

It wasnt too long before they came to a small clearing and a lone stone building stood in front of them.

It was like a large cell,with no windows,and a steel door.

She had been secretly dropping blood stained bandages along the route from Trinsic,hoping when Esca came to look for her his cats would pick up the scent.

As they stood before the steel door,Ria noticed just one other building to the left,but it was too far for her to make a run and hope to find sanctuary there.

Pushed into the building,she was shown to a cell .

Every where inside was in darkness,and only the light of the open door showed two cells that occupied the ground floor.

Behind the locked door,Ria curled up in the corner against the thick ,cold stone wall.

It seemed an age since Trinsic,and pulling her legs up under her chin,she rested her head on her knees.

She must of dozed off for the next thing she was aware of was some one entering her cell.

Peering into the darkness ,she could not clearly make out who was with her,but she could sense danger.

She was having trouble hearing,also, and the next hours were not much more than a blur of endless questions,prodding,poking and threats to her life.

Eventually she was dragged out of the cell,as she was not co operating with her kidnappers demands.

They seemed to have some shipment of Nightshade.That much she had taken in.

Now though she was being given two choices

Help them get their goods past the Vesper guards,to deliver to the Swaggers,or die.







" Do you want to die" ?,came the question

" No one wants that ", she replied

"Then agree to do as we wish ,yes" ?

"Never " snarled Ria.

Her captor,now holding a lantern to her face,introduced her to a disgusting looking pirate,who leered at her and drew his face so close,she actually saw a bug drop from his head.

Almost vomiting ,Ria took a step back till she felt the wall behind her.

"Let me have her ", leered the Pirate.

"You want to have your wicked way with her eh"?,chuckled her captor.

"Yarr", came the reply.

"No !! " cried out Ria.

She could not beleive her relief at being taken by these bnrigands,was now being replaced by the very idea this filthy vagrant of the seas would be allowed to go near her.

They kept touching her hair,and stroking her cheek,remarking on her good looks and soft skin,all the while causing her stomache to hit her throat.

Then more questions,and threats.

Who was she.?
Where did she come from ?

Ria was angry ,as they knew full well she was Militia and she said as much.

"That traitor ,already told you ,I belong to the Vesper Militia."

"What traitor is that then"?,came the reply.

She then had to explain how she knew Arthurias.

"Are you going to agree to our demands then,lass?"

" Not a chance " she retorted,"I will never betray the Baron or the Militia.".

"Fine then we will see what a night alone here in the cells,does." her captor informed her.

The pirate sighed,as he had hoped to have his prize this very night.

The leader informed him to be patient ,though, and see what tomorrow might bring.

With that she was shoved back into her cell, and locking the doors firmly,the two finally left her in peace.

All she could do now was wait,and hope a rescue party wasnt too far away.

She hoped they had the thought of mind to return to Trinsic.

She hopes they got a chance got to speak to Kaelyn,who knew whom had taken her captive.

She hoped..................her thoughts faded as her eyelids became heavy and she fell into a sleep of bad dreams of ..................[.tbc ]
