I know ive not been around alot , and here is the reason why.

My computer is broken , or atleast the CPU and the graphic card.
They work , but very very bad (for some reason 3d works ok but 2d works like crap).

Sooo , Since i found it to much work to just upgrade the system i have ordered a new machine that I hope will arrive asap.

Then I can be in game again without having massive lag like i had all this year (but its gotten worse the last few months).

So.. there ya have it

I really, really hope you're going to be doing something other than running a really old 2d game with a quad-core processor, 2 gigs of RAM and a 8600GTS... overkill otherwise

Actually, for what you get in them, Dell aren't a bad price... but then they do tend to skimp on the mobo, PSU and branded RAM - easy to upgrade though with the plastic "clicky" mountings they use.

I build my own PCs but even OEM parts get expensive if you go for decent brands - by comparison Dell are fairly cheap.

Its not so easy to upgrade when they use motherboards so horrifically dire that you normally can't even upgrade to anything better than what the machine comes with. Dell literally try to find the absolute bare minimum crappiest motherboard they possibly can for your requirements, both so that they save money making it and that you are forced to fork out again for new stuff if you want something better.

I built/overclocked my own machine as well, and if you shop around you could build that machine for nearly half of what Twothumb's paying for it. Hell, a few lucky finds and you could probably make something better for half the price too.
