So i was just thinking about Old school games, and was interested what all of your favourite old school pc games were before all these new graphics and crap came out. I know mine would have to be Monkey Island

Best old favourite for me HAS to be the Settlers II. That and its update of the Settlers II: 10th Anniversary - which is a remake of the original in 3D. Its actually quite how I picture UO:Kingdom Reborn to be.

The remake is absolutely identical to the Settlers II in gameplay, economics and pace, but all glorified in a new 3D graphics engine (albeit in this case with a rotatable camera because its full 3D). There's been almost no change to the game itself, but frankly the game is just beautiful at sucking up your hours of life with its simple lovability.

Yeah Settlers was a great game

i had 3 at one point which was also quite good

Meh, 3 and 4 were alright, never bothered playing Heritage of Kings - but the number 2 remake is absolutely amazing.
