![]() | Allowed wood types Under the RoE I have not seen any restrictions as to GM weapons made with different wood types. Example of gnarled staffs, specials are para and concussion Normal wood: 35% DMI (excep) 100% Phys(damage) Oak: 40% DMI 100% Phys Ash: 35% DMI 10% SSI 20% Lower Req 100% Phys Frostwood: 47% DMI 60% Phys 40% Cold Didn't have any Bloodwood, Yew or the other one *thinks*, to test with. Testing the Frostwood one it works well, downside if you need to down a pot you have to disarm but as a macer / mage I am used to that anyway.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Allowed wood types There are no other wood types than normal allowed. Wood types add magic properties, ergo making it magic weapons which aren't allowed. We do, however allow quivers for archers to get around this kind of thing. I did tell you when you made that template that fencing or swords was where its at, I think - because Macing's two handers suck. ![]()

![]() | Re: Allowed wood types I'll keep the macing, nearly GM now, do not want to retrain a new weapon skill. If I had one on a soul stone I may have thought about it.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Allowed wood types That macings two handers suck. Edit: That is, when compared to fencings utility or axes higher output and better special combinations.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Allowed wood types Aye, its just the way it is thesedays. Fencing = Greatest utility (poisoning, disarm, mortal, just about anything can be done on a fencing weapon) Macing = One Handed best Swords = Two Handed best Archers = Ranged / Ganking Each has a major strength which ya gotta think about when you make the char.
