Olde Spiritwood Tavern. RIP.

For those of you who remember it, the old spiritwood tavern (felucca) dropped over the weekend. Luckily, i live next door to it, and have placed a plot where it once was.

I am in the process if reconstructing the tavern, and once it's done, perhaps we could hold a tavern night there once every couple of months? It would be nice to remember some of the older places in the history of Europa RP.

hi there glad you managed to place a plot on that location. I also noticed it was falling over the weekend and was keeping watch too....used to have a house in old spiritwood in the days when I was in CoM's C*C guild. Sad to see so many of the old places gone (including the old KoV tower which fell some months back) but also nice to still see some familiar names on the house signs there...

a tavern night there would be fun - would be nice to see some old faces turn up.

I would support a tavern night there also.I too have fond memories of Spiritwood and its occupants from its 'heyday'.

Its great you managed to place another building there.

One thing we did notice ( me and Cherry that is ), is that Old Pad O'Lion still holds a house over there.
Well it says his name on the sign.

Nice catch getting the plot. And such a worthy cause. Sadly, I barely remember spiritwood, so many years ago.. But there are abstract positive memories from annual visits.

I remember you Vic! You gave me pvp lessons and joined B^F for a short while at one point. The gang would come along to a fell spiritwood tavern night for sure!

Although primarily a citizen of Deepwater in them days i did occasionally make ot out of Deepwater alive (damn reds

) and visit Spiritwood, shame to see it drop!

yes,I saw that a while back too.Odd isnt it.

I wonder if he still plays but on an alt ?

Many players still have accounts open in UO but never log in - holding houses/characters or just in case they get the urge.

Also there are a fair amount of old school players hanging around on alts too!

I know one player who hasnt been in UO for maybe 3 years but pays his £10/month anyway...

For some its a very small price to pay.

I even suspect my rl friend who started UO with me all those years ago still pays for his account - will ring him today and see if his accounts are active he will have some real interestign stuff from pre AOS I am guessing.

Good work... I visited the tavern and it looks really nice.

Also there are still two more (that I know of) that can serve costumers:

The Laughing Lich, Dreamstone
The Owl's Eye, Deepwater

These are deserted places, but seem to have a mist of history shrouding them and if you pay close atention to the guest books and newsboards you can find that there are people that visit them on ocasions.
