July 3rd:

Well, today there was an event at Kaldor.. involving free ale and 'entertainment'...which was people dancing unclothed around a pole, and throwing a gnome around..Anyway..was walking into Trinsic, and a ruddy orc springs out of nowhere. The mannorless peasant demanded gold..just fer crossing! Like hell i thaught.. shortly before he attacked me. I let him off anyway...i reckon the poor git thinks he's a troll. Shortly after that i bumped into Jade's new servant, Ebony they call her..Nice girl. Had to put great effort into resisting biting her neck...I wonder what my punishment would be if i did.. I dread to think..Well the sun will be rising soon...

July 5th:

Today was a strange day for me... I had a gut feeling most of the day that something unpleasant lay ahead of me..and i was right.

I saw Ebony is Trinsic.. She told me she was bored and i took her for a drink of water..well i decided she deserved something a little stronger than that..after all her hard work and such.. Liquor it was..and she gulped it right down. It was my every intention to behave..but seeing her stumbling around drunkenly.. well it gave me an urge. I took her to my house, i said I'd have some water for her there.. unfortunately i didn't, so i showed her to the basement instead.

She was so drunk, i found it somewhat difficult to not take advantage of this weakness...Of course i would have preferred her sober, for a more enthusiastic struggle from her... but temptation overcome me.

I made her lie on my bed of nails, and i tied her wrists up. There was nothing i could do to stop myself... i grabbed her hair, pulling her head to one side and i bit into the warm flesh of her neck, and drank her warm, sweet blood.

After waiting for her to come to, i slit my wrist and i fed her. I had to practically force her to drink, but she got there in the end. I gave her a jug of blood to drink...it wasn't fresh..but my..did she gulp it down...i think she enjoyed it..even though she was mortified when she realized what it was..

Well i have decided that she will be staying with me for a little while..'till she is back on her feet, and used to life as a Vampire. I will rest today..satisfied.

A voice in the corner of my mind is taunting me... it's trying to decide on a punishment for me... I am telling myself over and over..Jade won't find out..



[Several hours later]

I can not rest. I have lain awake for hours...my thoughts are troubled..My meal has digested..my emotions and control have come back to me..What the hell..have i done. Resisting temptation has never been easy for me..but tonight..i couldn't have tried harder..I lost control...Jade will find out...what will she to do me...Maybe if i tell her the truth, she will be a little more understanding. I see no easier way out of this mess, that i have caused. I will go and find her, and hope to hell, she is in a good mood...


[Several hours later]


I eventually went to see Jade. I told her everything. I told her the truth.
I have to say, i was not expecting the calm reaction i got after doing so, admittedly, this unnerves me slightly. However, deeper worries are pressing on my mind at this moment. Jade told me that i have to see Demos, the man who had already 'claimed' Ebony, to be his childe. She said he would decide what is to be done about it when i have told him everything. I have a nasty feeling, that this man won't be quite as merciful as Jade was about it. Needless to say, i am not looking forward to having this discussion with him. And an even deeper worry is taunting me still.. I have to explain my actions to Vad. I think he is going to be annoyed at me, but secretly a little amused. Vad is funny that way.. Well my coffin awaits.

What's done is done - I cannot change the past.

July 6th:

Vad came to see me shorty after i awoke. I told him about the previous night, and i was relieved to see a grin spread across his face. I told him that i had kept her there for him, if he wanted a toy to play with. Usually Vad would have jumped at the chance but he seemed a little distant...

Later on, I went to the basement to see how Ebony was. Should have seen her animal attack coming. She lunged at me and tried to bite me. Looking back on it, i find it quite amusing...How much the girl has changed... from a sweet natured little servant, to an animal.

I gave her a jug of blood that i had drained from a cow, not the most tempting of meals...but something. I told her that I'd be going to see Demos soon, and hopefully he would be taking her from me. Although part of me wants to keep her, I think that it will be best for Demos to look after her.

A while later i ran into Demos. He told me to come back with Ebony, and i did so. He seemed horrified at the sight of Ebony chewing into her own wrist. It was apparent that he was less than impressed. He then took us to a strange place i have never visited before.. I was curious of my whereabouts, but more so of hearing what he had to say.

I explained that it was I, who had done this to her. He told me i was going to be punished.. the very thing i was worried about. I asked what he proposed and he told me that Vad would be handing out my punishment to me.
I could have laughed aloud.
I remember thinking that biting Ebony, was well worth the punishment... He then told me that i had to keep her, until she learned to control herself and act human, and to keep her alive and in one piece. Alright so the last part wasn't my idea of fun as such...but getting my lover to punish me? That is just not on the menu. I smiled and agreed anyway..and took Ebony back to her cage.

[Several hours later]

Vad arrives, and as my attention is focused on him, a cage door was left unlocked as i went upstairs. After talking to him for a while I went back downstairs, and to my absolute horror, realized that Ebony had escaped. Me and Vad searched for hours, and i eventually caught up with her in Trinsic, at the west gate. I told her to leave right away, but instead she made a lunge at a member of the duchy. After a loud release of commands at her (which she ignored) I had to drag her away from the gate, by which point Vad had found us. He tied a rope around her neck and we took her back to my house.

I felt angry towards Ebony for running away. I daren't imagine what Demos would think of this. Vad tied her to a spike column in the cage. I was very amused to notice Ebony put a spike through her hand, and Vad described her howls of pain as music to his ears. This humored me, but my good mood was soon shattered when he brought a whip across my chest. I told him to stop but he whipped me again across the leg. I simply told him that if he carries out Demos' orders, he will find himself an old and lonely man. He then cursed Demos, and told me any punishment he gave to me, was of his own accord. I think secretly he is scared to disobey Demos..

July 7th:

Ebony escaped. Again. I went straight to Trinsic when i noticed, and bumped into Jade. Soon after i saw Ebony and she was with Demos, who did not look happy with me. He then had a go at me about ill treating Ebony... well i fed her.. Some people are just never happy... Speaking of which, Jade decided she had to let off some steam and called us through a gate.
We ended up sitting in a small room in i place i do not know of. There was also another member of the family i had not met, present. Jade ranted on for a while about loyalty and suchlike... I think i am right in assuming this was directed towards me. Jade was also not happy about the fact that Demos was not carrying out a punishment for me himself, and annoyed with Vad for draining Ebony after i had fed her. I remember at some point in the conversation, Gwen getting a little heated. I'm not completely sure of her motives behind attacking me though.. It was a situation that humored me.
After we were dismissed, or Jade had finished releasing her pent up anger rather, Demos approached me. He said that Ebony would be going home with me to sleep in my bed, whilst i slept in my own dungeon. When i realized this actually was not a joke, i protested until he decided to take her with him instead. Then i set off home, alone.

July 11th:

Today, i have been looking forward to with great anticipation. I met m'lord Garod and his lady Alynora. I also met the rest of the family, ones i had not already been acquainted with. We all introduced ourselves, and announced our hopes and aspirations. There was talk of the library, and of combat lessons which would be preached by Gwen. I have been thinking of accepting her offer, after all i could do with brushing up on my magic skills.
After the meeting we all went upstairs to the tavern, and had a less formal talk. Garod asked about mine and Vad's previous clan, and i told him the basics. I asked him about the library, and it's contents. When i told him i had never seen the library he offered to show me. Of course i accepted, i have been itching to visit the library for quite some time now. My first thought was how beautiful the building was. I half wished Vad had been there, I know he would have appreciated it. On going inside and up to the library, i was amazed at the amount of book cases. I had to stop myself trying to imagine just how many books there must've been.
I flicked through some titles, and found some books on other vampire clans. One named clan Latria caught my eye. I found myself curious about this clan, and i asked Garod if he knew of it. He told me what he knew about them, it seems they are no longer around now. After reading through some poetry, Garod took me back to the tavern, to join the others. I met Demos' lady freind, Angelica he said she was called. I wonder if she lives up to that name, and if so, she surely won't for long.. being so close to Demos. Well, i must retire to the basement before sunrise....

July 14th:

Today me and another family member called Orlando went hunting savages. He had to collect a spear from one, which he did easily. After that we went to Swaggers for a rest and a drink. There was a rather pretty barmaid working there, and a man there offered to take her to bed. I do not know of this man, but i am sure i remember seeing him stumbling around drunkenly at an event in Kaldor several days ago... After that, we headed to a dungeon and did some more hunting. When we had had enough, we left and had a bit of a wrestling match. I have been practicing wrestling for a while now, still, Orlando was much stronger than i. After we slaughtered some gypsies we decided to visit marble island. It is such a lovely place, i hope to make my home there one day.
Vad has been away for several days now. He told me he would be gone a while, but did not say where. He promised to come back, so i know he will, but i do miss him terribly. It seems to me that absence may make the heart grow fonder after all... Now i must rest.

July 25th:

Today was a good day, Vad returned home from his travels. We went for a drink together at the Swaggers Inn, where there was several guards of Vesper. They seemed bored, they said something about torching Cove, so being the good Samaritans we are, we went to Cove to warn them. You would think they would have been grateful towards us, but instead they treated us with suspicion and told me to get away from their church, which i had taken a small interest in.
After we left we decided to visit Maginicia, as we both have a liking for this city and its beauty. We stumbled upon their army, as they practiced their military skills. We stood and watched for a while then took a walk around the city. As we got to the church it was apparent that we were being followed. Inside the church, a man in robes was kneeling and praying. I left Vad in the church and walked to another building, which was empty, so i entered and sat at a table.
Within minutes the man in robes entered and stood near me, watching me. I greeted him and asked what he was doing. He told me he was keeping an eye on me but wouldn't say why. Vad entered shortly after, and started taunting him about his religious beliefs. You can always tell when Vad hasn't eaten for a while.. he gets very irritable and annoying.
A maginician guard then springs out of nowhere, and claims we have insulted the church and the civilians of Maginicia. After a small conflict of interests between Vad and the guard, we left them in peace and then came back to my house to relax. Vad had brought some odd tobacco from his travels, so we had a smoke and talked for a while. After he fell asleep i sat out on the balcony alone, and watched the stars. It is beautiful nights, like tonight, that convince me that giving up my ordinary life was the best thing to do.

July 29th:

I awoke later than usual today, well after sunset.. I went straight to Jade's house and a meeting was being held. Something about control of the seas, i wasn't really interested. When everyone left i returned home to write a letter and Vad came to see me. I had not tasted blood for so long and i was craving it badly. I asked him to remove his gorget and when he did i drank from him. I didn't want to stop, but he pulled me to him, bit me, and started drinking from me. When he had finished he left, and i decided to write my journal as i'm sure there won't be much worth writing about for the rest of the night.

August 27th:

The past few moons i have been away traveling with Vad, we returned several days ago and i have been resting while Vad has been out getting into trouble. He has decided he wants to go and do some traveling on his own until the dust has settled. I'm not sad though, for he is with me in thought always. I kissed him goodbye last night and made my way home on horseback.

I awoke from a long, deep sleep this evening, to realise that i had missed a family meeting. I went straight to Marble Island to see if anyone was still around and found Lady Jade trying to send two orcs through a moongate. They wanted gold from Jade so i dropped some to the floor. One of the orcs picked it up and the other orc got angry and started attacking him. I threw a few pain spikes at one of them but unluckily for me i ran out of regs just as he took his revenge on me. I recovered at the hospital, then decided to go and visit an old friend Lucius, who has recently joined the family as a servant.

When i got there he wasn't home but a young lady named Kate greeted me. I spoke to her for a little while about her talent in tailoring. She was wearing a very pretty black dress, she explained that she was keeping an eye on the house for Lucius. The hunger of not feeding in some time forced me to grab her. I pulled her head aside, pierced her jugular with my fangs and let her warm blood flow down my throat. She dropped to the floor and i knelt beside her. I sealed the wound with my tongue, and cleared up any spills.

After a few kicks to the ribs, she slipped back into consciousness. Stroking her hair, I explained that she had passed out and advised her to have something to eat and a rest. She saw me to the door and apologized for being a burden to me. Holding back a laugh, i assured her it was not a problem, and i left.

Several hours later i decided to go back to Marble Island. Just to make sure that all was well, i had told jade i'd be around in case the orcs returned. I thought it must've been my lucky day when i stumbled across a young lady, face down in the dirt, clothes bloody and torn, and totally unconcious. I had not seen anyone around the island.. Now how could i have refused a meal like that?

I was so absorbed in devouring her blood that i didn't sence Lady Jade's presence until she was several foot behind me. I quickly pulled myself away and looked up to see her accompanied by a man i later found to be named Grim. Before sealing the bite wound, i jumped to my feet and tried to look innocent.

Jade was angry.. She asked what had happened and i explained that someone had clearly attacked and bitten her. Two pairs of accusing eyes looked me over, then the girl. We managed to awake her and Grim took her to the island's hospital. I admitted to Jade that it was I who had bitten her. If looks could kill id have been slaughtered.

I listened while she explained that i was to be punished by Gwen for my actions. I have to say i thought it was a bit unfair.. No one was around and the girl was unconcious! Grim asked who sired me and inquired about Vad not teaching me subtleness. I told him Vad had taught me more than anyone else ever had. Jade then decided to inform me that the girl was her servant... Damn, not another one.... I promised her i diddn't have a habbit of feeding from her servants and that i was unaware of who she was. Jade went to talk to her while Grim gave me a few tips on being Subtle.

When Jade returned she instructed me to hunt down a man named Oskar. I then asked her if i was still to be punished by Gwen and she told me to bring Oskar to her or Fargo, and she'd see. I bid her and Grim a good night, and retired home to let my meal settle.

August 31st:

After wasting several days in search of Oskar, I stumble across him today - in the fighting arena on the Island. Also present, Cabaal who is sitting watching Flipper attacking Oskar, and Lucius guarding the gate. I sat next to Cabaal for a while and watched, before i decided to join Flipper. We vented any pent-up anger by throwing curses and spells at him, to be fair he put up a good fight.
They informed me they had captured him and brought him to the island, and were waiting for Lady Jade to arrive.

After a while we decided to take him somewhere more... Private.. and secure, in case we had to keep him locked up overnight. Flipper Offered her hideaway, where she also has a small trade in practice.

She opened a moon gate and we were taken to a large wooden barn. Lucius dragged Oskar into the barn and up some stairs. We entered a rather empty room with some chairs in the centre I sat in one, and told Oskar to lie on the floor, on his stomach. He refused me so i kindly asked Lucius to force him to the floor, which he did. We then let our guest tell us about himself. He calls himself a pirate, yet has the cheek to call us filth! He even stated that he (as a pirate) is free, and that we are slaves. On hearing the slave remark, myself and Flipper worked our magic on him, poisoning him and pain spiking him almost into unconsciousness. Lucius left in search of the mistress.

Flipper pulled a smoke out of a box, handed me it and gave me a light. As i smoked it i started to feel more relaxed, yet a little stronger. We taunted Oskar for a while, and cabaal departed. After deciding Jade was not going to arrive tonight, Flipper muttered a spell. Ropes came flying from downstairs and wrapped themselves around Oskar, who had gathered up the strength to stand. His legs tight together and arms bound to his sides, i eyed the gorget on his neck. I walked over to him and as his chest heaved for breath through the tightened ropes, i blew smoke from my roll-up into his mouth as i slipped his gorget off.

I was surprised to sence more excitement than fear from him as my fangs pierced through his flesh into his jugular. His blood drained down my throat and as i drank my mind wandered slightly to particular encounters with victims i have had, and i could hear vad's voice ever so distantly, mocking me in a sing-song voice. Then all i see is red, and i snap back to reality and pull myself off him, sealing his wound with my tongue.

Flipper and i left the barn, and she locked the door behind her. I then bid her farewell and returned home.
