IC: A Grandchild's Tale
It had been some years since she had last seen the babe. Rumor on the winds said he had grown but with some unusual tendencies. It was time to put curiousity to rest.

Sailing to Maginica from their home in Naeloth, and then taking the public moongates, she wandered the streets. Streets that looked as if preparation for some festival was to happen, but still in waiting, flags still hanging limp in the hot steamy air of the other jungle island.

Resting in one of the public gardens, she watched from the shade of the trees as a small child of about 8 years old walked by with another man. She listened in to their conversation, as the child appeared to be the right age.

She decided to get up then and casually approached the group and asked for the Lady Devnet. As expected, the child answered that it was his mother.

Finally, she was led to see the mother, and the child demonstrated his abilities. "Your grandchild has grown, will you teach him?" the lady asked of Alynora. "Grandchild? Is this what you tell him I am? Interesting.."

Smiling, she decided on a very basic exercise for the boy, and almost felt sorry for the parents. She told him to practise his "scream" and hold it for as long as possible, and then go longer every day.. to teach him control. To do so more on days he was angry, to shout out to the ocean about it.


Time has passed again.. perhaps it is time to see the child again. To see how the experiment progressed.
