I have to say, i rarely ever write anything down here, i am a firm believer that actions speak louder than words. However i find myself compelled to write my thoughts, and todays actions down, as i feel they hold a great importance and significance in the history of Tremere.
Tremere, (in my opinion) has been of recent times, a sick animal. There was a time when i was impressed with the house, i awe at times of my superiors. Alas that time seem to have passed away during my time of incapacitation. What did i return to? A house ran by Jade Bastet?! A mere child compared to myself, and sourrounded by rash and stupid followers such as the troublesome Fayte. To think that in days of old, we had the likes of Jenwhittet, and Ihsahn, and of course the mighty Naelothians. In all honesty, i was on the verge of renouncing my ties, but i relented, and today i see fruits of such an action.
Sunday, the day the family meet, to discuss current events and news. I arrived late, and was somewhat surprised by the large gathering that sat before me. After Orlando vacated my seat, i took my place at the table.
Jade, as usual was rambling on about something i had no interest in listening to. Some rubbish about a female having visions, i forget the details if i'm honest. As usual, the house seemed more interested in talking about what to rather that do it. So i decided to speed things up a little, and made up a plan. In all honesty it wasn't a brilliant one, but it got me out of that hall.
We went to Trinsic, to look for this person. The idea was a distraction from myself, which i achieved my insulting the guards. They must have been chasing me for a good 15 minutes before they gave up. It appears they aren't quite as unfit as i thought.
Unfortunately, our target wasn't there. Feeling frustrated i returned to the Island.
Previously i had noticed a new recruit to our ranks, a man by the name of Jasten. He needed to be tested, so i took him to the arena. We fought to the predictable outcome, but as i was reviving him, i couldn't help but feel the potential there.
Orlando joined us soon after, and i tested him also. He showed a little improvement from last time, but still a way off an acceptable standard. I then put Orlando up against Jasten, it was an even contest which i stepped in to end.
I could tell the ability was there, raw and untouched, it just needed guidance in them both. I sent them to Olde Spiritwood to meet my Manservant and Blacksmith, Maldini. There he forged them both a few new weapons.
Armed with these they fought once more, both beating Flipper, and in a two versus one fight, even getting the better of me. While the two were individually average, together they were formidable.
The pairing of Orlando and Jasten was like a catylst, it seemed to spur both of them onto new heights, suddenly Orlando was looking a threat.
I really think given a little more time, these two would be able to best even a Naelothian. I look forward to see how far i can take them both, and perhaps there is still hope for the others.
It is only a matter of time before i am recognised as Blade, and for the first time in a long while, i have a direction and a purpose within the house.
I will make Orlando my second in command, or perhaps Jasten. A duel maybe to decide it? Who knows what the future holds. All i know it that Tremere has a fine set of Guardians, and any intruders will surely fall to my Elite Guard.

Blood will be spilt.

He will learn the hard way.

He will cower before me and beg for mercy.

January 05.

It appears that i am starting to evolve into something more than just a warrior. Following my recent essays on the arts of poison, i have developed something of a passion for all things Alchemical.

At first it was just the poisons, and healing that interested me, but as i have delved further into the art, i have discovered something very useful: explosion potions!

These appear to be a great tool in combat, not only dealing great damage at range, but also revealing hidden adversaries. From now on i will carry some of these purple potions with me at all times.

Alas, all this time in the Laboratroy, has kept me out of the Gym. I seem to have forgotten how to use my shield! Oh well, the potions seem to be a lot more useful anyway.
