Worry and relief

As the minutes went by and the opening neared, an emotion I hadn’t oft encountered filled me. Worry.

”Would the staff handle things correctly? Would the uniforms arrive on time? Would anyone understand poor Ronnie?”

At 8PM we opened the doors and I was pleasantly surprised at the small crowd waiting outside. As the minutes rolled on the tavern became increasingly full, so much so I had to send staff out for some extra seating, and even had to set up an outdoor dining area. (Thank goodness the night was nice!)

With a variety of costumes and even someone bringing a frog as a date, the evening was strange, but from the takings behind the bar it was definitely a good one.



The crows begun to flock in fairly early in the evening, some were wearing a little less than desired, some a little more!



A popular sport in Yew: Boxing! We also had a small gambling session set up alongside this, an excellent way to make (or lose) some gold!

Following this, we had our weekly lottery draw. Tickets cost 25gold a time, and first prize is a whooping 10,000 pieces!



Outside was just as manic as inside.. but drinks were a'plenty and conversation bloomed.

The evening was a success and the staff handled things brilliantly, (some may even deserve a raise!)

The King’s Deer Tavern (Stonekeep, Yew) will be hosting a tavern night every Monday evening, from 8PM to 10PM (UK time) where you can find a variety of games, prizes and competitions to suit all! Come along and join the fun!

Escorts will be made available on a Monday from Yew Moongate (Trammel) for those of you who do not know the way.
