Lord Grim Bloodbane

It was already evening when I arrived in New Paws. I knew that the carriages didn't drive straight to Paws anymore on their way to Trinsic, therefore I had begun my journey from Yew with a horse.

At the Town Hall I met with the local, Petre, who Father Severinus had mentioned in his letter.



Petre, was happy to welcome me, but soon informed me that late yesterday evening, Father Severinus had slept away. Petre had been on his way to receive the last details on Father Cuthbert's arrival and had found him dead inside his room. Petre informed me, that he and the caretaker of the graveyard had already moved the body to a secure location to wait his burial.

Petre told me what Father Severinus had said to him and handed me a set of keys with a bunch of scrolls and parchments. I noticed a journal bound in dark red leather which I did not give that much notice yet. We went through all important matters that I needed to be aware of. I informed Petre that I would be travelling to Trinsic the very same evening to meet with the Duke, and that we would talk later.

I arrived in Trinsic where I met several citizens of the city. They welcomed me greeting me friendly. Captain of the guards took me to meet with the Duke of Trinsic, Irvyn, and we were soon discussing several matters, concerning Paws and the relations between New Paws and Trinsic. We agreed that we would be meeting at a later date when I had got the chance to catch up on things in Paws.

After a long while everything was set and I was appointed as the new mayor of New Paws. We ended our meeting and after exchanging a few words with the Captain I took my leave. The hour was late so I decided to get back on horseback towards Paws. Before that I stopped at the west gates to exchange some words with the locals. They seemed to be interested in the virtues and religion and few of them directly begun to ask me of my religion. I informed them that I was a member of the Brotherhood of the Rose from Empath Abbey in Yew, where we believe in the Virtues following their guidance, just like most citizens of Britannia do, from Yew to Serpent Hold, following the teachings of the virtues and living a righteous life. The Eight Virtues are based on Three Principles: Truth, Love & Courage, and they form the Eight Virtues;

Honesty is respect for Truth,
Compassion is Love of Others,
Valor is Courage to stand up against risks,
Justice is Truth, tempered by Love,
Sacrifice is Courage to give oneself in name of Love,
Honor is Courage to seek and uphold the Truth,
Spirituality is to seek Truth, Love and Courage from one's own self and the world around,
Humility is the opposite of Pride - the absence of Truth, Love or Courage.


I was back in New Paws at midnight. I unlocked the Town Hall door and went inside. Tomorrow would be a long day, I thought...
