I've only recently gone iPod.

I used to just CD it with a portable player. But with the amount of "Bike" (Motorcycle) time I've been putting in, got an iPod (Nano).

I purchase CD's and then dump the whole CD to the iPod, set to Shuffle, and boom. Got special "Helmet" headphones inside the helmet and jam to tunes as I hit the road.

CreativeLab's Zen, just earlier this year, "accidently" put out a whole slew of Zen's with a Virus on it. With any of todays electronic devices, a bit of research before you buy is always in order. Find what will do what YOU want, and then what YOU can afford.

The new and up coming devices, well, you'd have to judge and find out / guess if there will be support in the upcoming years. How many will be "flash in the pan" type devices.

My computer is my radio lol. Never really had a need for an MP3 player as of yet, not sure there will be need for one in the future either lol. But I would probrably go with Ipod cause I've heard a lot of good things about that one.

As far as the whole 1 hit wonder topic. Once I hear the 1 hit a band has I do tend to look for more of thier stuff, if I like it, I like it. If I don't well they don't become 1 hit wonders for no reason

Ever since KaZaa went KaBoom Ive just been listening to my CDs and songs I already have. I rarely listen to music besides in my car or at my PC.

My brother has the really tiny IPod (nano?) and says it is really great and was fairly cheap..
