I like to wear the shirt that has an insignia of all Football teams and then say "Go team!" and people just give me the nastiest look for just supporting EVERY team that I could think of haha! Though I have lost that shirt but man it used to irk alot of people...

I am not into sports but I did it for "fun" not to offend anyone or anything. Just sense everyone had a special team they supported and then downed other teams that wasn't thier favorite I figure just walking in with a tee-shirt that showed all the teams on it... they would find it funny... most didn't =(

Ah well was just trying to have a little fun but some just do not have a sense of humor but man thier faces were priceless you can totally tell I annyoed them to no end =P

Though there was a couple of people laughing at me and giving my thumbs up and said man if you bet on a team winning you "technically" would win sense you supported ALL of them or least the way we play it... whatever team you "supported" and if they win or what not get money but if the team lost of course you loose money... I would gain money but all them other teams would fail so I will still end up with nothing hehe

And on a semi-serious note, to Carp, there are TONS of fans that take their team (regardless of sport) to heart and get offended much like anyone who has passion for anything (ships) would.

Ahh, cool. Vepl would fit right in with punk rockers and detroiters then due to not knowing what sport is being talked about in this thread.

All I was able to figure out is that people were talking about a sport. I don't even know what sport.

No joke All my friends and I were very good about not following sports (though we'd watch boxing and stuff sometimes).

Wow, I'm impressed.

It's football.

The laughter was directed at Detroits annually uncompetative football team, so I figured instead of acknowledging there was one there in the first place, you were turning a blind eye to the entire sport.

Ohhh, I really had no idea that Detroit had a bad or not-good or anything team. I only watched a football game once in my life long ago (and that was a strange event in which I didn't know the rules of what I was watching).

I don't know all the rules any more but I still get fired up when I watch a game, all sports but basketball. I just don't "feel" that game.

Interestingly, I used to be an exercise science major in school, and though I don't play basketball and baseball and softball and a few other sports, I had to learn how to teach people to coach it (part of getting a BA in that stuff).

So I learned very intriquite and tactical strategies for basketball and some of those other sports (though not football).

So I can actually watch a basket ball game and understand what I'm watching tactically. Except it's not fun to watch except when I care about the team (like when Argentina beat the U.S.--wow that was a fantastic game).
