How do you find the square yardage...

I am looking into buying some carpet, can some one tell me the formula to find the amount? Say I have a 11x10' area and I want to buy carpet that is $1.10 a sq foot.

11' x 10' is 110 square feet. Multiplied by $1.10 = $121.... square yardage is about 36.67, i'm guessing.

So just take the two dimensions and multiple them by each other to get the sq yardage? Thanks!

Abra multiplied the dimensions to get the "sq.foot"
then divided the sq.foot by 3 to get the "sq.yard".

I think I was confusing myself. The carpet place says Square Foot, so I guess I don't need to the yardage
