Graphics look pretty good, is this the newest GW that was put out? Think it's subtitled Factions.

If so... wish I had $50... wait, let me re-think that... $1050... that'd be better. Probably wouldn't be able to run it on my PC without an upgrade.

I still have not gone to the "war" so, I am still in the Green Land
But, I like the game so far....Necro Ranger is awesome.

The PvP ones are generic (PvP areas are accesable to both chapter 2: factions and chapter 1 :prophecies so doesnt matter what expansion youve got for PvP)

To be honest as far as running the game is concerned its actually not as bad as i thought. It runs quite happily on a run down old laptop thats got pentium 1.4 celron (yes they come that low!) and 512 ram (think it needs 256). Only time i notice lag is when im in the major city in chapter 2. When you leave town though, you and your party get your own little world to fight in, so you get no lag from other players, and no forms of 'trammy' grief that you can sometimes get in UO.

Trajan what episode do you have? Factions, prophecies, or both?

Ooo and you do know you can just select to make a level 20 PvP character at start up yes? Cant go into the normal storyline game or go hunting with a PvP made character, but would give you a feel untill you story line character is able to do PvP arenas.

I realy love the dusky streets in factions. It always seems when doing an oriental theme, most games show the typical 'beautiful pagodas' and that. Its realy nice to see them make the main citys look darker and less 'fluffy eye candy' than other games.

Ah crap, I've been wanting to get GW for some time to try it out, and have been avoiding looking into it to help fight the urges, but if gameplay is the slightest bit fun then I might get stuck in it.

Don't tell me any more about the game.

If there is a storyline, plot, anything, don't say, this is for your own good, if my wife sees me playing ANOTHER game she is going to kill someone, and the only thing I'll be able to mutter out will be Ly-Las.

I'm sure Maddux, or anyone with his name is subject to atleast a stabbing because he's the one that brought me into UO.

Then dont buy chapter one dip! Its probaly on sale now (seen it for 10 quid in game) its a great story, fantastic world, stacks to do, lots of places to see, PvP to fight, monsters to kill, skills to capture, oh did i mention the great story?

Might be time to take a trip to Fry's.

Bear in mind if you do buy, chapter 1 and 2 are seperate games, if you buy chapter 2 you dont get chapter one included (no monthly fees, gotta make money somehow ). Saying that, if you get factions later on, you can upgrade your account so you can go to both chapter 1 and 2. Just got to buy each of them seperatly, and like i say, if your ony trying the game, chapter 1 will be cheaper (10 quid in game). Lots of newbies have appeared in chapter 1 recently so im assuming lotsa people grabbed it when the price dropped

I just bought Factions...I don't have Prophecies. But I figure if I get into it, I will buy Chapter 1 later.

I'm still on the starting island for Factions! LOL There is so much to do...and I do love the storyline.

But I have the map on my wall...and when I play I keep looking at it saying "when do I get to go over to the mainland!!!??" hehe
