Ok, gonna see if this thread takes off. This thread is intended to help UOforums users find each other in whatever game they happen to play. Be it WoW, UO, GW whatever. To help newbies to the game id also like to run the scound post in this thread as a brief explanation of how to contact people in other games. For example how do EQ players contact each other? A messenger or ingame chat?

When providing information please provide your screen name, sever you play on (if theres no mixing servers), and additional contact info (icq etc). Ill update the first post every so often with new posters information.

Methods of Contact :

Everquest :Click Menu, followed by friends, the IGN of friend into the box, then hit add. To add a friend from another server, In your chat box type: /addfriend ServerName.Charactername (e.g. /addfriend Butcherblock.Trianna). (Thankyou Thradia! )

Guild Wars : Click the menu button, then click friends, click in the small text box and type the IGN of the player you want to add. You can also just press the N key to bring up the friends list.

Ultima Online : Most players use ICQ to contact each other. Its downloadable here : www.icq.com

Thradia how do you contact folk in EQ?

To Add to Friends List (if they are on the same server as you):

1. Bring up list by clicking Menu --> Friends
2. Type the name of the person in the text box and click Add.

To Add a Friend (if they are on a different server as you):

1. In your chat box type: /addfriend ServerName.Charactername
So for example: /addfriend Butcherblock.Trianna

2. To chat with someone on another server you need to type: /tell ServerName.Charactername [Message]
Example: /tell Butcherblock.Trianna [What are you doing?]

It's a neat feature to be able to talk across servers...you don't have to type this every time. Once the person replys to you, you should be able to click on their name and choose 'Tell' in the reply window (I haven't talked to people across servers though, so don't take my word on that one)
