Started playing this last week and have to say I am having a great time.
I wrote a acticle about my experiences as a new player and posted some pics on our wow site. I know evil of me huh. hehe

I found the pve side of this was just too similar to other games.

But your article is spot on and well written!

I am currently nipping into the pvp arenas and having a complete blast - most fun since my Quake days in a pure pvp setting where, as you rightly point out, it ISNT all item based. Its based on skill tactics and thoughtful pvp not just speed clicking or macro setting.

I won 7 out of 9 arena battles last night so for once I am playign a game and having fun and sometimes get to kill the enemy!

And I love the fact of NO monthly fee. I can dive into game whenever I feel a need for change in my gaming habits.

I have enjoyed Guild Wars for a while now. It was advertised as a super PvP game so I had no interest at first. But for a PvM game it is really good.

My only issue with the quest/missions is that it makes the game too linear. Anything I do, someone, actually everyone also does.

But right now Dungeon Runners and Guild Wars are all I play. (more DR than GW lately)
