I do not like WoW all to much but I think it is mostly because my friend... he is a damn good friend but when in game I rather him not be playing the same one as me because he ALWAYS wants me to run him through a dungeon or help him with a quest or something... I never really have playtime to myself and no matter how many times I say "I want to level my charater" he still manages to get me going into a dungeon with him and nowdays soon as he mensions it I just go... I am tired of argueing... I really do not like WoW now because of this... I regret even logging online at all even to see if other friends are on because I know the first thing out of his mouth besides hello is "Can you run me through a dungeon or help me with these quests" Do not get me wrong I LOVE to help but he has removed his level 60 warrior a level 40 rogue and then restarted them all over again. Countless times has he removed charaters and getting me to get them same ole items ALL over again and some of them have a much toucher chance to drop and he expects me to do the dungeon over and over and over agian UNTIL he gets ALL them items.

Then you also got all the other WoW community people who totally irk me then you got the damn female graphics as if they were all whores so I call WoW "World of Whorecraft" I do not like how they degrade the females in that game... trash... oh what fun.

Lol here I am ranting again >_< Ignore me! But yeah maybe a sub forum ^_^

Also I agree with Snugglebug "Come back to UO!" but then again I am sure you want to try something new and see why WoW is such a big popular game... simple it is super easy to play and gives everything to everyone on a silver plater where as UO you have to "work for it... I mean yeah there is SOME difficulty in WoW with reputation work and some armour and raids but other than that... it is like pretty straight forward and such... landscapes as you said are indeed beautiful but graphics is only one thing... content is another and UO out weighs WoW on content and that is where I go to play hehe =D but then again these are all my opinions my friend would totally disagree and also insult the heck out of UO even though he never even played it and ask me for me to run him through a dungeon again...

I have all the graphics options maxed and it looks gorgeous, especially when you fly over the lush rolling greens on that gryphon transport thing

Although I hate to say it, the game is getting more tedious the more I play it

I haven't played a game based on levelling before and I find the whole concept abit odd at best
Like I mentioned earlier, why do you need to be a higher level to eat another brand of cheese?

I find that the leveling kinda sucks cause its what you have to do to even compete. My first character I didnt do many quests and grinded my way to 35 with minimal questing and maximum killing. People thought I was insane for doing it the hard way, but I found it to be more fun. Questing just seems like such a chore. On my second character, I am doing questing to level, and am at 19, and did it in half the time. So you have to weigh out what you want. Do you want to play and have fun hunting to get where you need to be, or do you want to level all day to get there, while killing a little bit on the side.

I know what you mean Carp about the begging from others. I joined a server with about 5 old UO friends, who started about 9 months before me. They all offered their help and I took them up on it sometimes, but I did about 33 of the levels on my own. Wheras we have 2 people from UO that joined a month after I did, and EXPECTED help. Whenever I logged in, I would have a party invite before my screen loaded. I am not a heavy player as the baby does not allow it, where the 2 of them are disabled and other is retired, so they can do 48hr stretches at a time. When they joined I was lvl 28, by the time I hit 30, they were already 35.... So I didnt have to offer them help anymore..hehe..

I know it seems odd, but a higher level cheese will restore (just an example) 2000 health points, while a lower level cheese might restore 200 health points. The level requirement is so that low levels can't just bypass the low level cheese and go straight to the high level cheese, effectively making the low level cheese pointless.

One might say that the high level cheese is simply too powerful for a novice.

One thing i'm confused about, how do I train in "shields"?
I can't equip a shield because it says I don't have proficiency in it? or something like that.
