![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Final Fantasy XI Online Just wanted to show you all a couple of screenshots... sorry nothing amazing Now I had a charater named "Kahjarah" but I decided to make a Taru Taru which is ALOT like a WoW gnome... which of course I named Spookems but I still showed a couple of screenshots with Kahjarah in theam... sorry they are not so big... This game was originally for the Play Station 2 and tv resolution but the Americans can buy a "computer" version for this game to play so the screenshots get no bigger than this =/ It is alot of fun, reminds me of old EQ kind of (not now day EQ... it is stinky) and there interface is diffrent and weird but really neat! Or least I think, Voradan has a friend who totally hates this game because of the User Interface that and he totally didn't like playing it because it was not as "keyboard" friendly... which it kind of isn't but like we told him... it was meant to be "Play Station 2" only game but when it was released for the United States they made a computer version so yeah... So if you use a controller makes it 100 times faster and easier to play Anyway else every played? Just curious sense on subject =P I will show more screenshots later if we get anything "amazing" but for now... this is uhh as exciting as it gets haha! We are to low level yet to go out far and do neat stuff My sister or Marlayna is playing an Elvaan named Shadoria and is a monk / warrior I am playing a Taru Taru named Spookems and is a white mage / black mage Voradan is playing a Hume named Zariel and is a paladin / warrior In this game you can leve ALL classes if you want... you get a primary and a secondary job or class... they share the same skills and spells longs they are available to the current class you are playing and the right level So for example I am playing a white mage (which is the healer in the game) I get the spell called "cure" which oddly is the "heal" spell... I get that spell at level 1... but a red mage gets it at level 3... I have to be a level 3 red mage before I can use that spell but it is already known to my charater to use once she hits the requirements... When you flip to another class you start at level 1... unless you were already working on it... say you leveled a white mage 'til 8... decided to flip to a warrior for awhile.. you start at level 1 again and have to fight to lower level mobs... but whatever levels you gain with that class you are currently playing you "stay" that level... so say go to level 12 with the warrior class but want to go back to white mage... I am back at level 8 again... etc... As you flip classes you are totally de-equiped inside your house and have to re-equip... some items you might have been currently wearing was not allowed for the next class or level you flipped too... the bank and storage is also all in your house... so you just grab stuff you need and bank what you don't need anymore for the current class your playing... Though I am going to mostly stick to my white mage and black mage stuff but I go into the other classes to make my skills in certain things go up "faster" The economy is probably the most stable in all games I have ever played... Voradan said when he first played the prices are still the same (or least on the shard he played then) as they are now and pretty easy to get money in game just got to have the patience to do it... This game if you die... you do not have to go on a CR (Corpse Run) but you loose 10 percent of your exp of whatever you level is but you do not have to repair items or risk loosing them. You get some of your experience back if you get rezzed (forget what precent) you can de-level in game but that isn't to bad... EQ done the samething and besides... you can also get the experience back anyway you are always hunting and doing something anyhow so not really to bad... -RMS Carpathia- ![]() ![]() -Back to the Future 2- Marty McFly: There he is, Doc! Though "most" people would complain because while in game especailly with the terrian and such... the land you can tell it is pixely but that is how it is "suppose" to look it is built for a console =P But Square Soft and I do believe the time when this game was released that was known to be bad arse graphics for the PS2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_XI_Online -RMS Carpathia- ![]() ![]() -Back to the Future 2- Marty McFly: There he is, Doc!
