Chapter 1, the
Embrace
______________
First off, I will
put to rest a common
misconception with
the creation of
vampires. When a

mortal survives a
feeding, and they
commonly do, many
people seem to think
they are damned and
will become vampires.
This simply isn't the
case, if it were, then

[Page 4]
this world would be
infested with
vampires and humans
would quickly die out,
thus killing both. to
be made a vampire
properly, the sire
first must take an


[Page 5]
interest in the mortal.
Many become
vampires because of
their incredible
beauty or some other
trait worthy of
preservation. Once
the selection is

[Page 6]
comlete, the vampire
will drain the
human's blood to a
state on the verge of
death. Then, before
the person dies, the
vampire will feed the
blood back to them.

[Page 7]
Their blood will have
mixed with the
vampire's and a
fledgling is created.
But, there have been
cases where the
human dies because of
the enormous stress

put upon him or her
with the removal of
the blood. Sad, no?
Ah well, that is life.

Chapter 2, Age
______________
It is true that a
vampire will grow in
strength as they age.
There are reports of
millenia old vampires.
If a vampire did

manage to survive this
long, they would not
require blood
anymore, be of
extraordinary power,
and would also be
very bored. when
a vampire reaches

[Page 11]
this age, they will
usually enter a deep
sleep until such a time
when something of
note awakens them. I
myself am only
around 3OO years old,
but I possess far more

[Page 12]
power than I normally
would. We shall get to
that later though.

Chapter 3, the Blood
______________
One of the things
synonymous with
vampires, blood.
Every vampire needs
it at some point or
another. Every

[Page 14]
mortal has a distinct
taste, and many
vampires have their
own personal
preferences when it
comes to hunting. To
assist vampires in the
taking of blood, each


[Page 15]
of us is equipped with
a pair of extremely
sharp fangs, which
we can conceal until
feeding time. Blood
can be taken from
anywhere on body,
but is more easily

[Page 16]
taken from major
veins. The jugular
located in the neck is
the most popular. I
could go on to name
other places blood can
be taken from, but I
won't.

Chapter 4, Power

From age comes
power, but I have
already covered that,
so I will continue on to
something else.
Power can be gained

[Page 18]
through two other
ways that I can think
of. The first involves
the sharing of blood
between two
vampires. This is
a very intimate way
of sharing blood,

[Page 19]
and the thought of
gaining power is
usually the last thing
the two are thinking
of. The other way is
the taking of all the
blood from another
vampire, thus


[Page 20]
absorbing all of the
now deceased
vampire's power.
This is considered to
be a grave crime
against vampires. I
destroyed my sire in
this manner,

absorbing all of his
power and taking it as
my own.

Chapter 5, the Kiss
______________
Another thing
synonymous with
vampires, the Dark
Kiss, or simply the
bite. When a vampire
takes the blood

[Page 23]
another, the victim is
overcome with a
feeling of safety, and
comfort. This is to
prevent unattractive
flailing and
resistance. Some
mortals even come

[Page 24]
back for more.
Another trait in
which helps
concealing victims, is
the ability to lick the
wound, closing it
instantly and leaving
no scar.

Chapter 6,
Weaknesses
______________
Ah yes, the part o
the book where all the
would be hunters will
skip to, that is, if
they can bring

[Page 26]
themselves to read
such a tainted book,
eh? Onward, fire.
Vampires can live
through burnings if
they are stopped
before the flame has
consumed too much,

[Page 27]
but fire is still a good
way. Onto one of the
more famous, but
misinterpreted
"weaknesses", the
stake. A simple piece
of wood with a pointy
end on it. When

[Page 28]
thrust through the
heart of a vampire,
they will die. Wrong.
You could not be more
wrong. Stakes do not
destroy, they merely
immobolize. Once a
vampire is staked

[Page 29]
through the heart, he
or she can not move
until the stake is
removed. That is, if
the hunter even hits
the heart or penetrates
the sternum.
Chopping off the head,

[Page 30]
of course this will kill
something, enough on
that. Holy symbols,
symbols which mean
life, or some other
such thing will repel
a vampire. And one of
the less known, faith.

Some have the ability
to repel vampires by
simply saying so,
these individuals are
few and far between.
I have met one, Jilly,
she is an
extraordinary woman,

[Page 32]
and if anyone harms
her, I would be more
than happy to kill
them. I stray. Every
line of vampires, a
family of sorts, has a
weakness. This may
be some material or

[Page 33]
object or whatever.
This thing will harm
the vampire if he
or she comes within
contact of it.

Chapter 7, the Haven
______________
The place in which
a vampire spends his
daylight hours. A
haven can be a simple
muddy grave, or a
luxurious manse. I


[Page 35]
myself own a
beautiful villa to use
as my haven. The use
of coffins is
unnecessary, all that
is required is a
resting place where
the rays of the sun

[Page 36]
can not enter. To be
shown the haven of a
vampire is a great
honour, especially for
a mortal. A vampire
is at their weakest
when resting. To be
shown the location of a

[Page 37]
haven and allowed to
leave alive is an even
greater honour.
