[Literature] The Early Days

[Shard] - Sosaria
[Type] - Literatue
[Book] - Red - 20 pages

[Title] - The Early Days
[Author] - Arda Windson

[Page 1]
I dedicate this text to
Dr. Jill Ashcroft, a
lass with a life that
was too short, but she
left many who loved
her. She did give me
the courage for this
text.It will be written

[Page 2]
in the third person,
for it is easier for me
to put to paper and
remember as such.

[Page 3]
Arda was borne many
many, many years
past, His first
memories are as a
small lad in the
streets of the city of
moonglow. One day
when looking for food

[Page 4]
an old man did come to
him and told him he
would give a roof over
his head and food in
his stomach if he
would do chores for
him and assist in his
experiments.

[Page 5]
not knowing what he
was getting himself
into , he aggreed.
The old man did say
mystic words and
from the ground arose
a red moongate. To the
young lad it seemed as

[Page 6]
if the yawning maw
of a great beast or a
opening to hell. It was
the latter, for after he
entered the gate he
was trapped inside of
the tower of the old
man. In the years that

[Page 7]
passed, the young lad
suffered much
torture and saw many
fearful sights, The
old man turned out to
be one known as
Vermillion, he was a
very evil and corrupt

[Page 8]
alchemist and mage.
Although Arda did
suffer much, he did
learn much as well,
for during the early
mornings or the late
nights when his
master was sleeping

[Page 9]
or deep in a trance or
other such task, the
lad did sneak off to
the study of the old
man, to read in his
spellbooks and
journals of alchemy.
He knew that if he

[Page 10]
was ever caught it
could be the death of
him but the choice
was to either die in
servitude or die in an
attempt at escape.
On one fateful night,
the old man did have

[Page 11]
arda help him in
drawing a summoning
circle. He gathered the
needed suplies for the
circle and the old man
did set about conjuring
a great daemon. But as
fate would have it

[Page 12]
something went awry
with the binding of
the beast and it did
break free of the
circle. It did grab the
old man by the robe
and spouted off that
while he attemted to

[Page 13]
make him his slave,
The daemon would
make sure that for
that offence, the old
man would suffer an
eternity of slavery
and servitude. Seeing
his chance to escape,

[Page 14]
young arda did run to
the study, where he
had hidden runes, and
reagents, and did
spirit himself from
that place. He did vow
that he would forever
remember the name of

[Page 15]
that daemon, Nazool,
Nazool the dark.
Arda then did set
forth to the great
Library, this was in
the days when the
lady Mariah was
curator of the

[Page 16]
Lycaeum. She did help
Arda track down how
he might have come to
be here. She did
suggest that he did
visit the city of Wind.
Mayhaps the great
mages of that city

[Page 17]
would be able to help
him in his task.
Arda returned one
Time to his tower
of hell, to remove all
of value, both arcane
and mundane. He did
find someone to buy

[Page 18]
some of the treasures
gained and did find
place to store the rest.
With that done, He did
set of for the forest
of samlethe, But that
is another story......
