It's cold... almost
too cold. I hear chatter
and laughter off in the
distance, but where is it
coming from? Where am
I? I look up to see a
sign that reads Sweet
Dreams Inn. But how

[page 3]
did I get here? I'm
dressed in commoners
clothing, but have no
idea how... or why?
This is my recollection
of where and when I
began. I'm not really
sure where I was born

[page 4]
or even who my parents
are. That memory of
the inn is the furthest
memory I have. I
remember wandering
around town, not really
sure of where I was
headed. Strangers would

[page 5]
often walk past me, not
even bothering to pay me
any mind. All the
shopkeepers I came across
had various goods to sell,
but none of them would
engage in conversation,
which wasn't much help to

[page 6]
me.
I happened to come
across a large stone
building with large heavy
metal doors. There was
a crowd gathered around
outside of the building,
which struck my curiosity.

I cracked open one of
the doors to see what
was inside. Among the
few people I saw, was
what seemed to be a
banker who was in the
middle of handing, what
looked like gold coins, to

[page 8]
a customer. I decided to
wait in line to see if
maybe I had an account
there. Alas, I did have
an account, of which was
bone-dry. This wasn't a
huge problem though, as I
had realized earlier that I

[page 9]
had a purse of coins in
my backpack, which I
hoped would be enough
for the time being.
I mentioned earlier
that there was a crowd
around the bank. This
crowd contained a

[page 10]
plethora of different
kinds of people. Among
them, I noticed a wizard,
who was casting a spell
that summoned animals. I
stop to watch in awe as
he called forth snakes,
dogs, cats, even cows!

I watched for quite
some time before my
eyes started wandering
again. This time they
focused on a pair of
warriors in the distance
who were battling. I crept
towards their

[page 12]
direction to see what was
going on. When I got
closer I realized that
they weren't enemies, but
friends, sparring for
entertainment.
That first day was
an incredible experience.

I was amazed at the
variety of people in the
city (which I later found
to be the city of
Britain.)
Over the next few
days, I remember spending
the majority of my time

picking things up off the
ground that were tossed
there by local villagers.
I would sell certain items
to shopkeepers and kept
the rest for myself. I
overheard people talking
about a barracks where

[page 15]
people go to train as new
warriors, I asked about
the barracks and was
pointed in the right
direction. As I
approached it, a trainer
beckoned me, and motioned
for me to climb some

[page 16]
stairs. When I arrived
at the top I saw a few
people swinging their
weapons at what looked
like dummies filled of hay.
I began to swing at the
dummy quite aggressively,
and was becoming quite

[page 17]
skilled at it. After
awhile I decided to put
my training to the test.
I set off for a
graveyard I had heard
about, which was just
outside the northern
border of town.

As I traveled to the
graveyard, I came across
yet another gathering of
people. This time they
were holding hammers and
were banging away at
swords and armor. One
of the men had just

finished a beautiful shiny
sword, He handed the
sword to another
gentlemen who, in return,
handed him a purse of
coins. Needing money at
the time, this transaction
caught my attention.

After a few minutes I
decided to speak with the
gentleman. He informed
me that his name was
Lord Bellas, and that he
was a local blacksmith.
He was pleased to see
my interest in his work.

[page 21]
He then introduced me to
his wife Lady Ivy,who was
also a blacksmith, that
worked all-day along side
her husband. Lady Ivy
was a very pretty woman,
who was decorated with

[page 22]
colorful armor bearing her
husbands name.
I remember watching
them avidly, I was
constantly asking
questions about the
different aspects of
blacksmithing. After a

few days, Bellas handed
me a purse containing
gold coins. He instructed
me to ask the shopkeeper
to further my knowledge
in blacksmithing. I
returned with a better
knowledge of the craft,

and decided to give it a
try. This was how my
life of blacksmithing
began. Bellas and Ivy
took me under their wing
and raised me to be a
skilled and knowledgeable
blacksmith. I will never

forget their kindness and
I fully believe these two
were the reason I became
so attached to the world
of Sosaria. I hope that
you all have enjoyed this
little sliver of my
history, and I thank thee
