Blessing is a powerful
magic, as it imbues the
targeted object with the
light and strength of the
virtues themselves. Thou
might know how to cast
the simple form of the
blessing as is used

throughout the lands by
lesser mages. Another
form of the spell is
named protection or arch
protection, but it is not
worthy to be discussed.
Much greater is the
power that is necessary

to bless the soul of an
undead creature to bind
its soul and free it of
the evil entities that
control it. The damned
soul of the undead can
be blessed and imbued
with the powers of the

virtues to help them
cross the boundary
between the plane of
damnation and our plane
and to help them remain
in our plane, even if it
remains here as ghost.
The ritual of blessing

(not to be confused with
the puny spell some
mages use) requires a
number of reagents as
well as one further
requirement. The soul
must be bound to a
location and cleansed of

the evil that infested it.
Then the following
quantities of reagents
should be placed at the
five corners of the
pentagram in the order
given. Start in the
southern corner and work

your way around in
counter-clockwise
direction.

Of each reagent only one
unit is needed. Once

they should be placed
next to candles on the
pentagram, in the order
as described prior to the
list.
