spring cleaning.

What is the best way to get points for the armor rewards. I'm working on getting my sorcerer armor for my tamer/mage. When does the spring cleaning 2008 end?

Re: spring cleaning.

They have given us a 2 week date for turn ins. I would say at this late date, you could do one of two things. Camp in the dungeons and get virtue drops, which are 10k each or do heartwood quests for recipes. We dont have long tho, and depending on how many points you need, well, good luck.

Re: spring cleaning.

You could go to the poison room in Doom and kill the dark guardians there. They all drop treasure maps all the time. Also collect the demon bones. Get the golden skull from the demon bone quests, and it's a turn in. All the t-maps are turn ins too. But yeah, it's a little late in the game. You'd have to do it non-stop, and still wouldn't get enough points for an armor suit or the jewelry.

Re: spring cleaning.

Exodus minions.. the little ones drop 1 power crystal and the big ones most of them drop 2 .. each worth 250. Take a friend.. hubby and i do it with a necro/mage and bard/mage. I've tried every pet in the stable and no pet seems to kill them faster than the mages. i also have been doing this with a friend.. pure mage.. a bit harder when the paras spawn but we work it. we were getting a good 35k pts in 45 minutes.

Also loot the chest from misamas.. map is worth 1k and you can turn in the chest too, 100 I think.. We stopped digging them up because we could get more maps faster than we could do the chest and get the marty for another 500.

Daily rares.. worth 500 each

and i agree .. heartwood quests are great for turn ins .. recipe worth 100 tallys worth 250

Don't give up just yet.. and good luck!

Re: spring cleaning.

If you're starting from near nothing and want to make 600k points quickly, I would probably go to Doom and hunt artifacts. You won't be able to make 600k points worth of 10k artifacts, but you do have a chance of getting a good drop (Armor of Fortune, Hat of the magi, etc) which you could then trade for a significant amount of points or the items you want.

In other words, with less than a week left (the 2 week notice was on FoF two weeks ago), your best option would be either buying the points or the items you want.

Re: spring cleaning.

good , so its next friday instead of this Friday for the end?

and as far as points go , i do Miasmas , lots of points there as Mags said , 100 for the chest , 1k for the map in the chest , and 500 for the drops that go in your bag <marty's ?> parrots , quiver ect . but you will need gm lockpicking for that . then about once an hour i go to heartwood and go through the bags at the fltcher quest and get all the talies and recipes , i make a ton of points doing this . but if you dont have time and have the money , i know on Atlantic thers a vendor in Luna that sells points at 30g per , and sells bags with 600k points in it for 18 mil . if you have the money . he also sells 25k tickets if you just need a few . but hes the cheapest around Luna .

Re: spring cleaning.

Lake Austin, ive been doing various things to try to get the points. Sitting on 43k now. Not sure what else to do, I've been doing the poison room that yall suggested (a guildy set a rune for me and taught me how to do it) it's just difficult being new at it and keeping up with loot since bodies don't poof fast enough hehe. But there are plenty of bodies so if I miss a few no biggy, right.

I did get a few skulls out of it too with my friend, waiting on my Gdragon to bond so I can start hunting with him, guildy said I should have at least my Gdragon in order to kill the demon, the one from the bone quest.

I am by no means rich either *snicker* I only have like 73k in the bank right now. So yeah, it's just a learning process is all and the community on my server seems quiet even at peak times so /shrug.
