It has over 300 ft coverage, so you can live in a large house and still access it fine. You can either get the 54G, which is what I have and it's quite fast, or you can get the Pre-N router which utilizes MIMO technology for the fastest data transfers. Both routers can be expensive however, with the Pre-N going over 100 bucks and the 54g around 60, however if you go on ebay you can find it for cheaper. It's worth the money in this situation to get the best router available and the Belkin routers are the best made right now. |

Maybe my next router will be that Belkin one. The box always looked cheesy, and cheap, so I stayed away from their products..hmm..

Naw dude, Belkin is the best. the Pre-N router got an 8.4 on cnet.com, and cnet is Notorious for not giving out high ratings. It's the highest rated router on there, and all my buds and colleagues have them and love them as much as I do. I think it's cheesy and cheap looking cause they're foreign made. They're more concerned about the product than the packaging, weak marketting I guess, haha. edit: Also, the regular 54G got an 8.0 which is deemed "excellent." I got mine on ebay for around 45 bucks, and the guy also threw in a cable modem and an external usb floppy drive. Claimed he was cleaning out his closet. Anyway, you probably wont' find it that cheap, but anything around 50-60 is solid. Ebay is awesome for this type of stuff. |
